(Hello loves! So there was supposed to be a commissioned illustration to go with this particular episode but the transmission in my car died, the car is so old and battered it is not worth saving, and I am literally going to use every penny I have today, October 27, 2023, on buying a new car and the next several paychecks are going to rent and my newly acquired medical debt due to me believing I was having a heart attack when in reality I pulled every muscle around my rib cage... so I couldn't afford the commission I had in mind specifically for this chapter. I'll obtain it eventually and will let you all know when I do. I already have two commissions that I've been sitting on since May and a piece of favorite fan art from years ago to use later on. Enjoy the chapter, please comment and vote, I enjoy reading your lovely reactions and I desperately need some good vibes as I have so much crushing anxiety over all the things I have going on.)

Wheeljack was sitting on a gurney being poked and prodded by June Darby as she did a standard physical. The now human Wrecker wasn't very enthusiastic at the attention he was currently getting. Julie was curled up against his back and recovering from a panic attack and Wheeljack would much rather have his full attention on her than whatever it was that the team wanted checked with him.

June stepped back and removed her gloves with a sigh looking at the tall sun tanned fit man. His hair was black and short but still curled softly which he kept tugging at one of the curls at his forehead. There was hair on his chest as well but his face had a clean shave. Scars littered his upper body and arms and disappeared below the waistband of his jeans. Some looked quite serious but it wasn't a surprise that he had scars. He'd been in a war for longer than humans existed.

"You can put your shirt back on, Wheeljack." June stated

Wheeljack complied, grabbing the black t-shirt and pulling it back on with a huff.

"Well?" Agent Fowler asked

"He's perfectly fine. Just completely human somehow." June replied.

"I told you all I was okay." Wheeljack huffed "It was unexpected yeah but for Primus' sake did you have to blow this way out of proportion?"

"Jackie your vital signals-" Bulkhead began

"I'm human right now. Of course the system isn't gonna be able to pick up my signal. Julie doesn't put off a signal when she's human so why the hell would I?" Wheeljack stopped him even going so far as to use human swears to emphasize what he was saying.

"We were just worried." Arcee stated

"I appreciate the concern." He picked up his white, red and green leather jacket before running a hand through his short hair "But I think this is a good thing. Alright? It helps me understand her better..." he reached back and put a hand on Julie's side.

"Considering our previous discussion, I am somewhat inclined to agree." Ratchet mused

"Discussion? About what?" Arcee asked

"It is a private discussion between doctor and patient. It is up to Wheeljack if he wants to share." The medic stated.

"Not really." The wrecker shook his head. "Look. It's been a hell of a long day. She can't pop between forms when she's exhausted like this so I just gotta deal with being human until tomorrow. It's fine." He stood up, and stretched a bit "Being human is weird though."

"I'm sorry." Julie apologized again for the millionth time.

"Nah it's my fault. I pushed you to spar with me when I knew you were tired after rehearsal. We don't know what all you can do yet. I'm just saying that it's weird because everything's so big now and physically? I can't really describe it but touching stuff is overwhelming." He reached over and rubbed her side trying to reassure her that everything was okay.
