The Daughter of Primus

S. 1 EP. 15 Shadowzone

(Finally getting some of my original sparkle back as you'll see! This chapter was somewhat of a hoot to write for Julie's character. Just chugging along now. Cheer me on to keep things going! I love all of your comments!)

About an hour after Julie's tattoo reveal she and the other kids were hanging out on the couch and in the chairs. Julie was playing Sonic Unleashed on the PS3 when an alert sounded from the main terminal. Ratchet quickly got Optimus' attention and the leader of the Autobots walked over

"I had hoped that my growing expertise on the subject would remain purely academic, but though faint, this is clearly a dark Energon signature, and it's moving fast." Ratchet reported

"Megatron." Optimus growled

"Where'd he find more of the bad stuff?" Arcee asked

"And what's he gonna do with it, recruit a new army of the undead?" Bulkhead chimed in.

"Zombiecons?" Miko's pigtails perked up excitedly.

Optimus' face grew grim. "We cannot rule out the possibility, especially since Megatron seems to be heading to a familiar site. Megatron has barely emerged from stasis, and it seems he's already making up for lost time. Bulkhead, Bumblebee, Ratchet, prepare to roll out."

"Me?" Ratchet turned around surprised.

"If we are dealing with dark Energon, I may well require your expertise." Optimus told the medic. He turned to Arcee. "Arcee?"

"Bridge operator. Got it."

Miko was sitting in her chair still coloring, feigning disinterest in going. "Go get 'em Bulkhead. Bring the hurt!"

Bulkhead smashed his fists together.

Julie raised an eyebrow and paused her game.

"That's not like Miko to not want to go." Jack looked over at Raf and Julie.

"She's definitely up to something." Raf agreed.

Arcee opened the ground bridge and the away team transformed and drove through. Miko tossed aside her sketchbook and pencil and jumped out of the chair and started sprinting for the ground bridge.

Jack lurched to his feet. "Making a break!"

Julie tossed her controller onto the couch and quickly sprinted after Miko.

Julie grabbed Miko "It's not safe!"

"I am not gonna miss my first Zombiecon throwdown!" Miko shouted, struggling out of Julie's grip and dropping her cellphone in the process.

"Miko!" Julie exclaimed in frustration. Jack and Raf were hot on her heels as they followed Miko through the bridge.

The autobots didn't notice the kids as they walked out into a clearing. Miko scrambled up a rocky ledge to get a better view

"That's not Megatron." Bulkhead exclaimed as they saw Starscream looming over Skyquake's grave with a purple aura radiating from it.

"What in the voodoo shit is going on here?" Julie asked as she caught up to Miko. "Makin' a deal with the shadow man."

"Rise, Skyquake! Rise!" Starscream screeched

"He's got friends on the other side." Julie muttered

"Let's see some fight of the living dead, already!" Miko exclaimed eagerly

Jack finally caught up to them and he was not happy. "Miko, what were you thinking?" He snapped.

"She wasn't." Raf huffed
