I parked in front of Food Giant. I breathed out and put my head on the steering wheel. Driving makes me nervous at times, especially with Jessie in the car.
"Hey, calm down," She said, putting a hand on my shoulder.
I took a few breaths and put my head up. I thanked her.
We both got out of the car, and I locked it.

I twirled the keys on my index finger, and Jessica smiled sweetly.
"I still have skills," I chuckled out, nearly dropping them.
As I put the keys in my pocket, Jessica took my hand in hers.

We walked into the store. We weren't going to buy much, so we could just carry them around.

"You know, I just noticed something; you look less tired."
"Huh?" I mutter. "Oh, I guess I do; I must be getting more sleep."
She smiled.
Just in case, I grabbed a small shopping basket.

After a small while, we get a couple of things. Some toilet paper, soap and some water bottles. And since I'm the man, I have to carry the shopping basket.

"I hope there's a sale on those pastries I like," I told Jessica with hope.

Then an announcement came on speakers above us.
"There is a sale today, half-off on all pastries," a male voice announced.

"I did that with my mind, "I started Laughing at my joke.
Jessica laughed too.
We walked to the bakery/Deli portion of the store.

We got a couple of slices of pie wrapped in plastic wrap and some donuts for the kids.
We walked to the check-out lane and waited behind two humans, a woman with curly brown hair and a man with greying black hair and a beard.
We overheard the two talking.
"Are you really okay with what he's doing?" the woman asked.
"It's fine, he's not hurting anybody," the man said in a calm voice..

I wonder what they're talking about.
