(Warning. Self-harm scene ahead, reader discretion advised.)

It took me a while to get to school.

I have to get through Senior year, and then I can move miles away from this town.
I approached the school. The school has multiple floors; each one is a different grade group. One building is for grade school and middle school.
I approached the high school building.
Just today, one more day, and I can go home.

Then.
They showed up.

That's Lily Gerald and Darius Ban

That's Lily Gerald and Darius Ban. They're both idiots, and for some reason, they attached themselves to me.
"What do you two want?" I asked, not even looking at them.
"Oh come on, wolfy," Darius said," Show us that sweet side."

I sighed. These two are always like this.

I just signed and picked up the pace and went to my locker.
I lost them since their lockers are away from mine.

19-1-5
I opened my locker. Inside was a standard locker, but metal, a shelf across the middle. My school books we're on it. And most other things we're on the floor of it.

Darius once said I should spruce up the interior of it.
I took his advice. And added a pair of magnets that spelled my initials.
He said that isn't what he meant.
I made sure no one was looking. I reached into a pile of stuff at the bottom of the locker.
I pulled out a switchblade. It's Jasons. He thought he lost it. But I took it.

I sneakily snuck it into my pocket.

I grabbed my books and closed my locker.
Despite the school's low budget, the lockers are pretty well made.

I quickly made my way to the first hour.

I sat down in my assigned seat in the front.

After class, my head was hurting majorly, wait, not just my head; everything was hurting and hurting real bad.
Maybe....one or two won't make a big deal.

I entered the boy's bathroom.
I checked each stall; each one was empty.
Good.

(Bloody scene ahead)

I walked over to the sink and look into the mirror.
"Two," I muttered, looking myself in the eyes.
I pulled the blade out of my pocket.
Restrict yourself, Joey, last time.......You almost passed out.
I took my jacket off and set it down on the counter next to the sink.
I lifted my left shirt sleeve to my elbow.
I took a few deep breaths.
I took a few cuts. Lengthwise on my arm.
I heard voices in my head.
'Freak!' numerous voices yelled.
As I cut. The voices became quieter until they were gone.
I closed my eyes. I took a deep breath.

I turned the sink on and washed the blood off my arm.
I took a few bandages I took from the nurses' office a few weeks ago.
I wrapped them around my wounds.
I put my shirt sleeve back down. I made sure my shirt didn't get stained with any left over blood.
I put my jacket back on.

I have two minutes to get to class.
I better hurry.

(No more blood from here on out)

It was.....a long day.

As Henry and I walked inside, we noticed Mom was awake.
"Hey kids," She said, yawning. "How was school?"

"I got a C+ on my geometry test." Henry said. "At least it's better than the last one."

"Yeah," Mom said," Well, I did something productive today."
Really? Wow, that improvement, Mom usually sleeps in a lot, since she works a lot.
"What was that?" Jason asked. He walked past her and over to the tv.
Dad spent a lot of money on that thing. It's worth it, though.
Some sitcom was on.
Justine and Jackson joined him.
"Well, I went to the grocery store," Mom said, "I got some things."

Ok, knowing her, she was probably too tired to put them in the right place.

Henry and I went to the kitchen.
She hadn't even put them away.
I grabbed one of the brown paper bags.

Most of the packaged stuff was off-brand. The only store that accepted Hybrids was one that didn't get a lot of name brands.

I sighed.
"Henry, you get the meat," I said. I hope they didn't spoil; it may seem cliche, but I actually really like meat. It tastes good when I make them.

Then there was a knock on the door.
"Henry, could you go get that?" I said.
He had finished putting the meat away.
"Ok," He said.

He set a bag down on the counter.
He walked into the living room.

"Uh, excuse me," I heard a boy say.
"Oh.....It's you," Henry said like he was bored.
" It's just; your mother dropped this at the grocery store," The boy said.
A few seconds of silence.
"Thanks, Charlie," Henry said. Then I heard the door slam shut.

"Mom, you left your purse at the store," Henry said.
I sighed.

This is the second time. That's one reason she doesn't do the shopping.
I put the peanut butter in the pantry and the jelly in the fridge next to the pack of butter.
Henry walked back in.
"So, Who's Charlie?" I asked.

"No one," Henry said," Just some Human who pretends to care."
I sighed. Henry doesn't trust humans. I don't trust humans either, but......I learned that in History, a large group of humans had helped Hybrids escape to the north during slave times.
It was mostly the work of one family. The same was very hard to spells so they just called them the D's.

"Henry, I know Humans around here treat us like," I trailed off, looking for the right word.

"Crap," Henry suggested.
"...Yeah," I muttered,"But don't push all Humans into the same hole; they're not all monsters."
Henry sighed.
"Henry, I want you to apologize to that boy next time you see him." I said.
"What?" Henry asked.
"Henry, I know you don't like it when I tell you what to do," I said sternly "But please if you treat humans like they treat us, and the mistreat will never stop."

Henry sighed.
"Fine," Henry said.

Good.
