This was requested by anonymous :)

I'm not 100% sure what I'm doing with this but sure. I did get asked whether to make it smutty or Y/N turns out to be Nat's long lost daughter. I decided to do neither so I just did this :)

Mentions of self-harm, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, panic attacks.

Y/N's POV

The first day of school is never the best. However, I am kind of excited for it because I've moved to NYU University from London in England. To be fair, I am slightly baffled at the extent of differences between an English College and an American University. The first step was to go into the main hall and figure out how to get to my dorm room 51B. One of the dorms not too close to the ground floor, but still around 2 floors down from the top.

I made my way up there and by the looks of things my room mate has already moved in. Great I don't get first dibs on the bed I thought. I opened up the door and was met with a very loud and jumpy girl. The exact opposite of my personality. "Hi! You must be Y/N! I'm Philipa or Pip. Whichever you prefer. Oh I hope you don't mind but I took the bed next to the window. On the bright side you've got more shelves and drawers!" She spoke, in one singular breath. I took a look at her luggage which she had 3 suitcases meanwhile I had my personal bag, and one small suitcase. "Right. Yeah sure I don't mind." I almost definitely did mind. This was going to be a long year or two...

The first thing I did after sorting out my clothes was setting up my laptop to look at my timetable. I had:

Monday: Lesson 1: 10-1, Break, Lesson 2: 3-4, Optional Lesson: 4-5:30

Tuesday: Lesson 1: 9:30-12, Break, Lesson 2: 1-3 Break, Optional Lesson: 4-5:30

Wednesday: Lesson 1: 9:30-12, Break, Lesson 2: 1-3

Thursday: No lessons

Friday: Lesson 1: 11-1, Break, Lesson 2: 3-4, Optional Lesson: 4-5:30

In the grand scheme of things, this isn't that bad. One thing that did catch my eye was the Optional lessons that hadn't been labelled. I quickly printed off my timetable and stuck in above my desk then looked at the second email I was sent with a list of optional lessons that I could choose to take to increase my chances of getting jobs. I only did a quick skim of them 'Poetry, French, PE, Pottery, Italian' They all didn't sound too bad but one in particular caught my eye. Russian. I quickly whipped up an email to the teacher about why I think I would be good in her lessons and sat back, waiting for a response.

It didn't take her long to respond. The email read.

Good evening Miss Y/L/N,

My name is Professor Romanoff and depending on how well you do on the quiz that I have attached at the bottom of the email, it will decide whether or not you have succeeded in getting into my class. This is mandatory because there are only 20 spots in my class and I want only the most capable students to be accepted in to my lessons. May you have the best of luck and I hope to see you Monday as I have high hopes for you, just off of your email that you sent to me. As soon as I get the test I will read through it and will probably get back to you within 10 minutes.

с уважением (Kind regards),

Professor Romanoff

Okay, well at least I know that she sent me a completely personalised email which never happens most of the time. I clicked open the attachment and there was a 10 question quiz and for the best chance of being in the class I would need 70% or above. Easy.
