Shiganshina was the epitome of a raging war zone at the moment; blazing airships falling, houses burning, pistols and machineguns firing from all angles. It was a nightmare to manoeuvre through, but you guess previous missions had prepared you for this, or at least to the extent that dodging bullets had become second nature to you.

'Hopefully Nicolo's able to get the Blouse family to a safe place. Both exits are blocked by the fire...'

Just as you joined the rest taking shelter by a tilted roof, the marleyan soldier's fires intensified drastically.

"There's too many of them! We can't even get near Eren!", Jean yelled to be heard over the loud bangs from the shots. You stretched your neck just enough to peek over the edge, following Eren's movements intently.

"The jaw!", you exclaimed, watching him close in on Eren rapidly. You weren't the only one who noticed apparently, the second you spoke a downpour of football-sized stones washed over the Jaw Titan.

'Zeke'

You followed Zeke's line of sight, as something else atop the wall seemed to have caught his attention. Where the Cart once stood, was a cloud of smoke, indicating it had been dealt with, for real this time. Or so it seemed. With just another blink of the eye, Zeke had been shot, a gaping hole between his neck and shoulder. Judging by the placement, that shouldn't have killed him entirely, but it should at least injure him enough to stop his lethal throws for the time being. But you suppose that was actually the opposite of what you'd want right now, wasn't it? This situation was still so confusing.

The Beast fell down from the wall, crashing right against the ground before the mighty gate leading out towards the sea. The impact of him hitting the ground was enough to send a slight shake across the area closest to him.

Eren seemed to be in a rush to reach him now, picking up his pace. The Jaw wasn't about to let that happen though, biting hard into Eren's shin. Just as Eren started bashing through his skull, another one of those powerful fires from the Cart's artillery were sent straight through his head.

"Eren!"

"It's the Cart Titan! We need to deal with her first!", Armin said determined.

"Armin!", Mikasa pushed him down against the roof, just about managing to save him from getting hit by bullets. You quickly sent a thunder spear their way once you spotted the enemy's hiding spot inside a house close by. The room and everyone hiding in it blew up the second after.

"This spot won't cut it anymore, we gotta move!", you urged the rest, already moving. "They can be anywhere at this point!"

"We need to handle the marleyan soldiers first!", Mikasa said, but the familiar clicking sound of galloping horses made you halt for just a second. Down on the streets below, Pyxis, along with every other soldier wearing black armbands, were riding into action. They didn't have any ODM gear on, only equipped with various rifles.

"Surround them! Attack the enemy soldiers from behind!", he ordered the rest. It was comforting knowing it wasn't just the seven of you and a medium-sized group of Yeagerists against 500 Marleyan soldiers.

"He's right. Now's not the time to be fighting them head on. Let's get behind them", Armin decided, and it felt good to have a clear objective when the details around your main mission were so vague.

With that, you all focused on sneaking around enough to attack from behind as much as you could. Naturally, this made you split up slightly, however Marco made sure to stay close by you to the best of his ability.

At this point you had ended up close to the outer-gate, staying alert on your surroundings; taking out any Marleyans you could spot.

"Eren. I will summon the titans!". Zeke's dark voice had you turn around instantly. So he was still alive then...
