Sana stared at him in anger.
Sana slowly said the words as if explaining a word- SO. YOU. MEAN. ALL. THIS. LEAK- ALL THIS. IS BECAUSE. OF YOU?????
Sid gulped and said- No no fuck no! You know a big company not only works on their own. They need their external sources too.
He took a deep breath and continued.

Sid- So, there was a time when my dad was the CEO, we lost a lot of stocks and stuff... so he took help from the external ones. They just asked for a lab, we found that weird but allowed nevertheless because we were at our lowest. They started working on that room which we gave them and at first we were so busy to get our business up, we didn't care.
Suddenly- suddenly we lost one of our employees. I thought it was weird but again I was like I ignored it. One night I had to run back to the office around midnight for some urrgent files when I was coming back, I heard a growl. I froze and I knew it wasn't any imagination because it was too real to imaginative.

Sana clutched the hem of her dress waiting for him to continue.

Sid- I saw the lights of the lab open. I found it strange because usually they said they would close by 11pm max. But again along with the growling voice I couldn't stop.
I peeked in slowly and then what I saw shook me. Two doctors who had injected our employ was slowly turning into a zombie. It was so horrifying. I ran up to stop them, for fuck sake he was a father of two kids who were crying waiting for their father to come.
They started to argue saying they would inject me with it. After many arguements they agreed they won't do it and I foolishly believed.
A week later this happened.!

Sana gasped and said- Why why fucking why?
Sid- Power of the place Sana, the world needs to irradiate some to bring some. They have the vaccine to stop it all, the elections are coming through so you-
Sana- So they will make humans into fuvking zombies until they kill each other and suck their blood off? That's the people they wanna rule-

CRASH.

Sid- Fuckk!!!! Sana get it in the room and lock it.
Sana- What do you mean lock it?
Sid- I'll get more weapons and stuff! You just stay in there.
Sana- Are you crazy? How will I let you-
THUMP.
Sana glared angrily as she saw Sid who had locked the door from outside.
Sid looked at her through the glass with his eyes stern and said- I'll come back and open this. This office might be full of zombies right now.! I have to make the call, the safest place for you would be this room because no one can enter it.! It's technologically protected. And at the call the jet would be coming in some time.! They will get you out.

Sana- Why can't you stay?
Sid- I need to get you out.! Stay inside! Okay?
Sana sobbed and said- Don't go-
Sid didn't turn and ran out.

Sana slumped down on the floor slowly sniffling.
She held her face angrily and thought about all those days which she took for granted. Making that one plan which she refused so with Meeti which she could have gone! Those extra days she could have spent with her than fighting. Those 2 years she could have been with Sid, if she was vocal enough about her feelings. If she would have confronted him than just assuming. That one extra call from her parents which she didn't pick up because she found them asking about her everything annoying. That one last hug she could have given her parents. All the one last things she could have done with all the people she had in her life until this happened.

Why is so hard to just unapologetically love people around you? Why is such a shame when people openly love you? Why ? Does another pandemic needs to make us realise how short life is? How close we are to destruction? Why not be in the arms of the people you love?

It had been 6 hours since he was gone. Her heart was beating madly.
Her eyes were swollen with tears, a lot happened in this while.
Suddenly she heard some growling sound.
She paused and slowly brought her head up and she gulped in her scream.
A zombie had his face on the glass door, scrambling to come inside.
