Fun Fact: Cupid and Eros are the ones who painted Poltergeist's nails black, and he actually liked it so they kept doing it. It's the only thing they could agree on.~
The Hassaikai was regathered in the gym they had underground. They were genuinely concerned that they might have to wait even longer. But it appeared that they wouldn't have to.
Kai was still nervous, plan or not. He wasn't used to being in control. But he made them wait long enough.
He took a deep breath and grabbed the microphone. 'Okay, I'm... I'm sorry that I made you wait. But, I was never made aware I had to do this. I wasn't prepared and I apologize.'
He flinched as he heard annoyed mumbles and some groans. A lot of sighs. 'Okay, so here's the thing. I'm 17, but I will be turning 18 in two days. I'm sorry again.'
He heard some more groans but he also noticed that a few people had started to understand why he needed some extra time to get ready and grieve.
He took another deep breath, 'Alright, well. For those of you who don't know, my name is Chisaki Kai.' He heard shocked gasps, by this point the entire underground knew his father.
'I'm sure that you all are not concerned about my leadership skills now, and I'll be straight with you, I'm not the best at leading.' Kai sighed, 'I'm not the greatest at being in control of... Anything. At all. So if you'd like to leave, feel free.'
If he thought people were shocked when they heard his surname, he wasn't ready for the surprise in the room now. 'If you want to leave, feel free.' Kai repeated. 'All you have to do is raise your hand. I'll give you all six minutes to make your decision.'
About three minutes later, people started raising their hands. Hari pressed the blue button every time he saw a hand raise.
Another three minutes passed and some people lowered their hands again. Hari pressed the red button when that happened. And by the time six minutes were up, 'Kai.'
Kai looked at him and saw the number on the screen, '20 people? That's it? Really?' Kai asked. 'I was expecting a lot more than that.'
'Not gonna lie, same man.' Hari shrugged.
'Okay, for those 20 who are leaving, please go.' Anytime he saw someone leave, he pressed the button.
'Seems like someone changed their mind. I clicked 21 times.'
'Is see. Right then, well, for those of you who stayed, there's something rather important we have to discuss.'
'Is it the fact you're a child and have no idea how to run a yakuza group?' One man yelled.
Hari twitched slightly and reached for his pocket where he kept his knife. 'Hari.' Takano whispered, gripping the younger's shoulder, 'Calm down.'
'The important discussion is actually how my Father can still use his quirk. Meaning he can still control me. That being said, you'll have six more minutes to decide if you want to stay or not.' Kai explained.
Hari reset the Tally Counter and clicked every time someone walked out. 20 more people left. That makes 41. With about 159 people left.
'Okay, so I'm sure most of you know Eri. My Father is... Going to have me torture her. My plan is to team up with other... Well to put it lightly villain groups. To make our gang look more villainous until the heroes come to arrest everyone and save her. This will require everyone to...' Kai hesitated, might as well get it over with. 'Everyone here will have to go to prison. But I will talk to the guards and try to lessen everyone's sentences. Any questions?'
'Why not just leave?'
'Someone will die.' Kai answered.
'Why not give Eri up for adoption?'
'Do you really want to put a four-year-old up for adoption? Especially since not all of my father's minions were arrested?' Kai asked.
'Have you tried asking your father nicely?'
'You clearly don't know my father, he once held a knife to Hari's neck, after using Chloroform but times a hundred to knock him out because I told him I didn't want to kill someone for him. Honestly, what do you think will happen if I ask nicely?'
'Are the people on stage... Like important?'
'Oh right! I forgot to tell you all that's my bad I'm sorry.' He gestured to the three people on stage. 'Everyone, these three people with be my aides. Please meet, Kurono Hari, my main. Maindo Takano, my secondary. And Irinaka Joi. My general Manager.'
'How much are you going to change?'
'I'm hoping I won't have to change too much.'
'Are we all going to have to come up with villain names?'
'If you want to feel free but it is not required no.'
'Is it too late to leave?'
'No, it is not, anyone else who would like to leave please do so. And for future reference, if you want to leave anytime after this all you have to do is come to my office and tell me.'
Ten more people left. Kai nodded, 'Any other questions?'
'Will you let new people join?'
'Of course.'
He waited a few more minutes, 'Is that all?'
Everyone was in agreement, they had no more questions. And Kai had answered them all pretty clearly.
Kai let out a breath of relief. 'If that's all then you are dismissed. Thank you everyone for your patience. And thank you to those of you who stayed. If you think of any other questions, please feel free to ask them.' Kai bowed, as did the other three. And with that, it was over.
