y/n is a university student who lives with mick, you two have knows eachother since high school and have grown closer to each other every since the first summer break where you two are living with eachother.
a few days pass and both esteban and pierre have gone back home to hang out with their family's and you have gone back to essay writing. "will you ever stop writing?" mick whines and falls onto his back on your bed. "mick you know this neeeeds to be done otherwise i might fail this semester" you whine "i know but it's a lot for an engineering class, surely you should go on campus more?" mick questions you "not first year, my university is weird and i changed subjects twice so they practically hate me now.. i'll probably be on campus or on the field next year to do observation or get my hands dirty" "ooh i can get you a gig at f1" you turn around and talk seriously towards mick "mick the university decides but they do know that is my priority, plus mercedes' is the main like garage i'd be working at" "but i could chat to lewis?" he says sweetly "yeahhh or you could just let me do it on my own..?" you imitate him "if that's what you wish" "mhm" you turn back around finishing the last assignment.

a week has passed, and today is wednesday, the day before spa. "mick please help me pack we need to leave in like an hour!" "okay okay! ah also take something fancy i bet we will find a good restaurant or something" "ooh bet! but how fancy, like long tight dresses or like a short party dress?" "long dresses, like a rich girls business outfit" "alright i got the perfect dress" "oh yeah?" mick smiles questioning you "i will look my best, if we find a restaurant" "yeah i know you will"
an hour passes and your finally on your way to the airport, you board the plane without complications, you and mick obviously sit next to eachother and chat until you couldn't no more, you fall asleep using mick as a pillow but you get jolted awake by some really bad turbulance, mick knows your scared of flying so he grabs both of your hands and you stare into his blue eyes, as they calm you. "you're okay.. you're here" mick says in the softest voice he could "thank you" you say while calming down. thankfully the turbulance has stopped and you have calmed down, you had 20 minutes left of your flight and all went well, you and mick basically raved about who i'd meet and what would happen over the next few days.
when you get towards the cab out of the airport mick spots other drivers and rushes towards them to hug them as he missed them over the break, he ushered me over and i hugged pierre and met the some other drivers charles, pierre and the mercedes' boys, mick chimes up to lewis and george that you might be joining the f1 scene this half of the season if you get into the mercedes' programme. "wait so your on the new engineer list? what's your name again?" lewis asks nicely "y/n y/ln" "if you want i can take you to the garage to meet the head of engineering, maybe you could chat your way into joining" lewis says giving you his number "i would actually love that, thank you" you say before mick butts in letting you know we need to get to the hotel as it was pretty late in belgium.
the cab ride was nice, to see belgium dimly lit and the streets are empty, you zone out just staring at the streets until mick gets you back into the real world. "y/n?" mick says softly "mhm.. sorry the streets look so peaceful" "i know maybe we can walk them one night" "we better or i will walk it alone" you quickly arrive at the hotel and check in, mick forgot to get two rooms so you have to share. when you get into the room there's just one bed set up. "mick there's just one bed" "yeah? we literally shared one like a week ago and your now begging to be away from me" "i.. yeah no i can't complain" mick grabs some clothes and gets changed, you just take off your jumper and shoes and hop into bed immediately falling asleep comfortably.
