"𝕯o you think Professor Binns is a descendant of a dinosaur?" I opined to Remus as we strolled through the hallways of the castle, the mousy haired boy knowing there was a plan for a prank that i'm being dragged to, as is Scarlette for some reason.

He'd whisked me off from our last lesson over an hour ago for a walk around the grounds together, just me and him before the chaos would erupt in the Marauder group as they did what they do best— mischief, not being easy on the eyes if that was what you were thinking, that's just an added bonus. Our arms are wrapped around each other's backs to keep close, probably looking extremely foolish to others considering our height difference but we didn't care, it's imperfectly perfect, just like us. It also means it sweaters are extra cozy because they're bigger— and I can bring him down for a kiss using his tie which he finds 'hot' apparently. A win for both of us.

"He's a bit of a fossil himself" He snorted, pinching my side when I chuckled, nodding my head in agreement, "I rather like his lessons....."

"Because you can gaze lovingly at me?" I teased, glancing up to him when he peered down at me, quirking an eyebrow,

"No, because I love his jolly and excitable stories" He retorted sarcastically, my lips tugging upwards, rolling my eyes playfully. The poor bloke had to be one of the most monotone, boring people I have ever met, and his lectures, well you're just extremely hyperactive if you aren't asleep within ten minutes of one of his stories, he just had that effect on people, I think Dumbledore knows we all fall asleep, I think it amuses him so he doesn't sack the professor.

"He's got to be getting on now, mustn't he? Mind you, when he does die, he probably will continue to teach as a ghost" I jested, his head nodding in agreement, muttering in response,

"Well he's got two years and then we're gone, so it might not be in our time here"

"Don't remind me, i'm not old ready to leave here anytime soon. Especially with this war getting darker, more veela dying— the Ministry hated us anyway....we should just run away" I mumbled, brushing my hair behind my ear with my spare hand, feeling his gaze on the side of my face, pausing us in the middle of the corridor and turning to face me fully, draping both of his arms around me with a soft expression,

"Don't worry, okay? W-we'll fight if we have to, and if we stick together we'll get out on top. The light always defeats the dark, hm? I-I i'll protect you, even if it's the last thing I do"

"Oh don't go all Romeo on me...." I murmured throatily with a frown, averting my eyes away from him and shaking my head, shifting my gaze every time he tried to look at me, when I said sternly, staring at his red and gold striped tie, "No one's leaving, no one's dying"

"Exactly, Willow. We'll be okay— if not, we'll haunt the ministry when we die, us creatures of near human intelligence" He joked, trying to cheer her up a little, his eyes searching for hers, biting his lip in concentration, relaxing when she lifted her head up to him, peering directly into her eyes, a small twitch in her lips when she responded,
