𝕴 smiled whole heartedly, spreading out like a starfish on the grass, allowing the sun rays to shine down on me as I listened to the chatter of the group around.
We had all decided with the world getting darker outside the walls it would be nice to have a picnic outside in the summer weather, knowing we would be finishing school within the week and heading home for three months before our final year in the castle. A scary thought. But a year is still a year, and I plan on treasuring it as much as I can with the people I love and care about.
"On my last day here, I swear to Merlin and all his acquaintances that I will actually go skinny dipping in the Black lake. It just has to be done! It has to be" Marlene declared firmly, picking at the black nail polish on her fingernails, a soft chuckle sounding from Mary at the girl as Regulus retorted,
"Yes, and while you're at it, pay the giant squid a visit, he's always at my window for a peep"
"I'll tell that giant squid to keep his eyes off what isn't his" James claimed whilst eating a cookie, the tousled haired boy's head in his lap getting sprinkled with crumbs from the bespectacled boy's careless eating, his nose wrinkling up repeatedly brushing them off his face,
"Who's joining me then?" Marlene quizzed, my grin widening, about to speak when Mary beat me to it,
"I'm sure Dorcas would if you asked nicely—"
"No, command her to do it" Scarlette insisted with a laugh, everyone knowing of the girl's newfound liking towards the Ravenclaw, it's not as though she was hiding her evident feelings....especially when she shamelessly flirts with her in her sassy, teasing Marlene manner.
"Okay but Marlene, you realise that someone might see, I mean you'll be naked—"
"Yes, that's typically what skinny dipping means, gingerbread" Regulus muttered, earning a glare from the copper haired girl, Sirius snorting at his little brother, shaking his head, also earning a glare from the girl, Marlene shrugging her shoulders,
"Why not? Everyone's seen my nipples anyway" She muttered, gesturing to her top of which she was wearing no bra underneath, Peter choking on air compelling Alice to pat his back as she sat in between him and Frank, the older boy deciding to join us now his Newt exams were over, whilst Marlene continued, "Oh it's alright, Pete, they're pierced anyway so if you want to look, look at them too"
"Did that not hurt?" Peter sucked in a breath, subconsciously rubbing his hand over his own chest with a fearful expression, the Scottish witch glancing down to her chest and back up to the boy,
"Well really they—"
"Enough of your pierced areas please" Lily pleaded with warm cheeks, Scarlette snickering as she leaned further back into Sirius' chest, playing with his hands wrapped around her after eating a strawberry happily.
