I'm drawing the outlines of the dress when Mauricio walks in.
My dad must have let him in when he knocked. It's a policy now Mauricio uses the front door after my dad caught him climbing the ladder. He went on and on about safety and how he would rather Mauricio sneak in the front door than the window where he can get seriously hurt.
Needless to say...Mauricio will be getting a key to the house next week.
"Hey, baby." Mauricio puts down his bag next to my backpack and comes to lie down next to me.
"You tired, Reyes?" I move my sketches to the side and push back the hair on his face. He shakes his head and asks, "No, why?"
I shrugged seeing dark circles under his eyes.
The basketball coach has them doing killer drills to practice for the upcoming game. On top of that, Mauricio is also practicing on weekends for soccer. The same thing happened to me, my team is in the lead and our final games are coming up.
"I was thinking we could crash a party?"
Mauricio sits up from my bed and raises an eyebrow, "What party?"
"Morhills University is having a frat party tonight. And I want to go." I step around my words hoping he'll say yes.
He's quiet for a moment, making me think he'll say no. But then a smirk forms on his lips and he says, "Let's fucking go."
