Alex Ryan and Leah Williamson have long been a favourite couple of the celebrity world, but last night Alex appeared to confirm split from her wife, with whom she is expecting a baby in the next few months.

The pregnant singer took to the stage for a one off performance at the Stand Up To Cancer concert, bravely singing a song dedicated to her late mother.

After the performance, Alex was asked by interviewers whether there was truth to the rumours that her marriage was over:

"I don't think it's appropriate, that question. I am here to support a cause that means an awful lot to me, to help ensure that other families don't have to go through what I have been through. I think the appropriate questions should be what I think needs to be done, who I think should be helping out, and why this cause means so much to me. My mum's legacy will not be forgotten because my marriage is over."
