A letter from the past

Days have passed by,
As we stood in the race of life,
Searching for directions to run to,
Looking for opportunities to fall in love with.
Did we do justice to everything we had?
Did we make efforts to believe in life?
For I see us flowing away,
Like some kind of vague memory.
The wind reminds me of the time,
We coils have been the best of our life,
But we chose to walk away,
And forget everything we desired.
Oh! How wonderful it could have been,
If we never gave up on our needs,
A little more stubbornness would then,
Would have made us less hesitant.
No more violet coloured regrets,
No more sad eyes and forced smiley faces,
The curves on our faces would be our truth,
This letter is from the past, from me to you.
