The lights illuminate us,
Carve our shadows on these roads,
I appreciate the beginnings,
But I guess I fear the endings.
Like a joke I must keep making,
To appreciate this life we have,
I wonder what will we face when,
Everything we treasure is lost.
We think there is some place to go,
Somewhere we must be,
We stand here thinking of tomorrow,
As if today isn't a gift.
And as I know the distance is wide,
Guess we won't ever intersect,
But there is this hopeless desire of mine,
Where I keep praying to have you with me.
