Max

I felt the sunlight hit my face as I woke up and turned around on the bed to reach for Jace. However, the bed was cold and nobody was lying beside me. My eyes snapped open and I saw Jace was not in the room. Then I heard the bedroom door open and there stood Jace with a tray hand filled with food. He put the food tray on top of the dresser and came close to me. "Good morning babe, did you sleep well? Sorry, I was not there next to you in the morning I went to prepare a little surprise for you. Now quickly go freshen up and let's eat breakfast together". Jace kissed my forehead as I quickly got out of bed and headed to the bathroom.

When I got out of the bathroom Jace was waiting for me with a smile on his face. I joined him on the little couch which was in the room. The food tray was set on the table in front of Jace and he picked up the fruit platter first. He turned towards me and we took turns feeding each other. After we finished breakfast I went to the kitchen to clean the dirty dishes, when Erik walked in and sighed. I looked at him and said," Hey bro what's up? why do you look so down, is everything ok?". He went up to the cupboard and grabbed a box of cereal and poured it into a bowl before saying," my wolf Storm is getting restless Max as he wants to take the next step with Oliver. But I know we are not ready yet I don't know what to do, please help me".

While Erik took a seat near the island I made some coffee and turned to him and said," Well why don't you take him on a date over the weekend also both of us can go for a run too so that Storm won't be so restless". Erik was happy with the idea and we talked for a bit over coffee and then went our separate ways. When I went up Jace was just finishing his last-minute packing and I also did the same. Jace told me that Raven, Roxanne and Oliver were already having breakfast when he went down to make our breakfast so we could leave anytime. Once our luggage was packed we tidied up the room and checked the room to see if we left anything behind.

The two of us went downstairs and loaded our luggage into the car, the others were also coming out of the house with their luggage. All of us went to our respective cars and started our journey back home. Everything was going smoothly on the way when suddenly we were surrounded by a pack of rouge wolves. Oh, shit, we were outnumbered I quickly turned to Jace and said," Sweetheart I need you to stay in the car and lock the doors as soon as I get out of the car. Erik, Raven and I will protect you all ok love, and if things take a turn for the worst just take the car and drive".

I gave Jace a quick kiss and he whispered, "please be safe Max", I immediately opened the door and shifted. I heard Jace lock the door and I focused my attention on taking out the rouges. Erik and Raven had also shifted and they came to stand beside me as we faced the rouges in front of us. The three of us were all engaged in a heated battle with the rouges when out of nowhere I felt a rouge wolf slam my body. My head hit one of the trees and my eyes lost their focus. I shook my head and looked at the cars to see if Jace, Oliver and Roxanne were safe.

Then I saw that a few of the rouges had shifted into their human forms and they had managed to break the car windows. They unlocked the door and dragged Oliver, Roxanne and Jace out of the car. Roxanne was in a state of shock as she saw so many wolves in front of her and since she was the only one who did know about us being werewolves. Ares tried to come forward as he saw his mate was in danger. But I knew now wasn't the time to be hot-headed, so I pushed Ares back.

The pack of rouges surrounded Raven, Erik and me before attacking us together. I could feel every scratch and bite mark on my body as I growled in agony. Erik and Raven were also in a similar state and I could hear Jace, Oliver and Roxanne screaming in the background. When my vision slowly started getting hazy, due to blood loss and exhaustion. However, I did not want to give up and I continued to fight with the rouges. I saw a few of the rouges tie Jace, Oliver and Roxanne's hands and tape their mouth.

They hoisted the three of them on their shoulders and put them in one of their vans. They drove off and I tried to run after the van. But the rouges got the upper hand and delivered their final blow on the three of us and we passed out. After some time when I regained consciousness, I saw that Raven and Erik were still out cold. It took some time but I managed to get to the car and take out a bottle of water. I walked back to the two of them and sprinkled water on their faces. It took a couple of tries but they finally woke up and I helped them sit up and gave them some water to drink.

Raven looked at me and said," what happened to Roxy, Oliver and Jace?". I replied," the rouges took them as hostages. I tried to go after the van in which they had kept the three of them, but it was too late". Erik hit the ground in anger and said, "damn it I can't believe we got ambushed by rouges and they kidnapped our mates and Roxanne. What can a bunch of rouges want with them? Is there something that we are missing, because it seems like they were waiting for us? I think we need to look at this matter a little more in-depth Max".

The three of us supported each other and made it to our cars. We slowly drove back to pack territory. As soon as we reached the pack members rushed out of the pack house and my parents were the first ones to reach my car. When my dad opened the door I immediately slumped forward and pass out again.
