Chapter 49

Jason

Around 5 pm, I decided it was time to get cooking so I walked out of my room. I saw a guard follow me but he did not say anything. I turned to the guard and said," What is your name man? My name is Jason Hunter ". The guard looked at me and replied," Tim Baxton", I tried to talk to him a bit, however, he did not respond. The two of us reached the kitchen and I went straight to the fridge to see what I could make for dinner tonight.

Once I was done with the fridge I went to check the cupboards and pantry so that I could come up with some ideas. Finally, I decided on the menu for tonight it was going to be fried chicken, wild rice, green beans, gravy, mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes. The dessert was going to be a chocolate cake and lemonade on the side to drink. I wrote the menu a piece of paper and stuck it on the fridge so that I won't forget anything. Ollie and Roxy walked in a couple of minutes later and I told them about the menu for tonight.

The three of us split up the tasks so that we could get done with the cooking faster. Thankfully Tim did not come into the kitchen when we cooked and none of the servants were around the kitchen too. When we were done with all the cooking, the three of us went to take a shower. It was finally dinner time so I quickly rushed to the kitchen, Tim followed me but he did not step into the kitchen so that made my task much easier. I took out Roxy, Ollie and my portion and kept it separate.

I took out the bottle of sleeping pills and crushed the pills and mixed it with the food. Ollie and Roxy came in to assist me with the task. After that, we carried all the dishes and put them on the table along with our plates. Luckily Tim wasn't there so we were able to set the table without any prying eyes. The three girls joined us shortly and a large group followed behind them. I looked at all of them and said," Well Oliver, Roxanne and I made dinner for all of you tonight, I hope you all enjoy it".

Once the girls took their share all the others formed a line and waited for their turn. After everyone was done taking their share they all sat around the dining table. Jessica came and sat next to me and I smiled at her. All of us started eating once Tammy said that we could start eating. Everyone seemed to be enjoying the food since nobody spoke a word at the table. Dinner went smoothly and soon it was time for dessert so I went to the kitchen to get the cake.

When I brought the cake outside everyone was surprised and looked excited too. I cut the cake into pieces and passed it around. Jessica came up to me and said," Wow Jace I did not know you were such an amazing cook, I am so glad I got to taste your cooking". I looked at her and replied," I told you that you would love my cooking Jess, now have a piece of my chocolate cake". I held the piece of chocolate cake in front of her mouth and she took a small bite. She looked at me in surprise and I kept feeding her the cake till she finished it.

Jessica wiped her mouth with a napkin and said," Thank you for feeding me the cake Jace, that was so sweet of you". I replied," The pleasure is all mine, Jess", from the corner of my eye I saw Ollie and Roxy looking at me with their jaws dropped. I smiled and winked at them and turned to look at Jessica. Jessica grabbed my hand and led me back to the table before making me sit down. She grabbed a piece of chocolate cake and started feeding me, and I let her since I did not want her to doubt me.

Slowly one by one people started falling asleep and within a couple of minutes, everyone was out cold. Ollie, Roxy and I quickly went to our room to grab some stuff and rushed out of the door. We found a garage out so we went inside and decided to steal a car. Multiple keys were hanging on the hook so I grabbed a random key. I pressed the car key and an Audi R8 beeped, hot damn. We got in and Roxy took over the driver's seat and said," I am going to drive first since we don't know how far we are from home. You guys can take turns driving after I get tired, plus I need to let off some steam".

Roxy started the car and in about 15 minutes we were at the end of a forest and there was a huge barrier. Ollie got out of the car and chanted some spells, and a small part of the barrier opened up. So he got back into the car and Roxy drove as fast as she could and we were out of the barrier. The three of us breathed a sigh of relief and Roxy continued with her driving. Roxy drove for two hours and then we stopped at a gas station for a quick break. I grabbed a map and a few other things from the gas station. Since turning on the GPS could be risky so using a map was a better option.

Roxy paid for the items as I realized that we had no money at hand. She told us that she had grabbed some cash from a person next to her when everyone had passed out. The three of us went back to the car and this time Ollie took over the driver's seat. I sat in the passenger seat and Roxy was in the back taking a nap. Ollie was driving the car carefully on the highway when suddenly another car rammed our car. Everything turned for the worst when my head went and hit the window. Blood started dripping down my face and when I looked at Ollie and Roxy both of them looked worried.

Both of them were asking me something, but before I could respond to them I passed out.

Jace, Oliver and Roxanne were in car accident !!!! 

What is going to be the outcome ? Will they reach the pack house safe and sound?
