Chapter 52

Max

I could not believe that Jason forgot everything about us but I was not going to give up so easily. We can always make new memories and I would need to tell him about being a werewolf too. Baby steps first thing is to let the others know about this so that they are mentally and emotionally prepared to meet Jason. Jason was asleep so I quietly stepped out of the room and I saw my parents along with Jason's parents. Oliver and Roxanne's parents were also standing behind Jason's parents.

Erik and Raven came out of the room next to Jason's and the three of us went together to talk to the parents. We found an empty conference room and went inside before closing the door behind us, since the room was soundproof no one could hear our conversation outside. We all took our seats around the conference room table and Jason's father was the first one to speak," Max please tell us how Jason, Oliver and Roxanne are doing. We heard they were in a car accident and that they were kidnapped".

I took a deep breath and replied," Jason has suffered quite a few serious injuries, but the thing that concerns me is that he has lost his memory temporarily". The moment I said those words everyone's head snapped up to look at me. His mother Rebecca had tears streaming down her face as her husband Nathan consoled her. Rebbecca looked at me and said," Does he remember his family? Please tell me Max will his memory ever come back?". I sighed and responded," Yes he remembers his family and friends, he has just forgotten his memories about Erik, Raven and me".

My parents gave me a sympathetic look but I knew there was nothing they could do at this time. Oliver and Roxanne's parents Elizabeth and Cameron glanced at Erik and Raven before Elizabeth said," How are Oliver and Roxanne? Do they also have serious injuries, when can we see them?". Raven replied," Um... the two of them have a few serious injuries, but they have not lost their memories. You can see them once they are awake they are resting at the moment. The doctor will tell all of you the details and what precautions that need to be taken for their recovery".

Nathan looked at me again and said," I believe there is also something else we need to address which is about you all being werewolves. I also heard that you have something called mates and that Jason happens to be yours Max and Oliver is Erik's mate". Erik and I glanced at our parents before the two of us nodded our heads in response. Erik spoke first and said," Yes we are mates I know it is a little hard to believe but it's true. We know that the two of us should have come and explained all of this to you in person. However, we just could not leave our mates' sides so we sent our parents to speak to you instead".

Cameron replied to Erik," It's ok son we understand it's just a lot to process that's all. Please give us some time. We got the news that our children were in an accident that itself is a lot to take in and then hearing that all of you are werewolves was a little too much information. Right now all we can think about is how are children are doing, we promise that we will not tell them what we spoke about here at this time. We will tell them when the time comes alright now let's go see our children".

All of us agreed with Cameron's suggestion and walked out of the conference room and made our way towards the private ward. Oliver and Roxanne's parents walked into Roxanne's room first and Jason's parents went to his room. I waited outside Jason's room along with Erik, Raven and our parents to give them some privacy. My mother suggested that we should go and grab something to eat from the cafeteria downstairs since it was almost lunchtime. I informed one of the nurses about our whereabouts before all of us went to the cafeteria together.

While we had lunch I asked my parents where my little brother Liam and Jason's little sister Taylor were. My dad responded by saying that the two of them were at the pack house and James Tanner was taking care of them. He also told me that he had left the puppies in the pack house so that they would keep the two children occupied. I was glad that our parents had taken care of everything while we stayed with our mates and Roxanne. Once lunch was over we all went upstairs and waited outside the private ward.

Jason's parents and Oliver and Roxanne's parents came out of the rooms after a couple of minutes. My mom was the first one to speak," We will head back to the pack house and take care of things there. Max your father and William will take over the pack duties for now so that you can be with your mates. I will speak to the school and inform them about the situation and ask them if you all can take online classes for the rest of the school semester. Plus this is the last year since graduation is just two months away, I am sure there would be no problem".

Erik, Raven and I sighed in relief when my mom said those words. William told us to go to our mates and Raven to go be with Roxanne so that the adults could talk. We nodded our heads in response and then I looked at Erik and Raven before saying," Please can I go and see Oliver and Roxanne with you guys?". The two of them gave me a small smile and replied, "Yes sure let's go together". The three of us walked into Oliver's room first and I glanced over his body to see the injuries he had gotten during the accident. Oliver smiled at us but it did not reach his eyes.

Erik took a seat next to his bed while Raven and I stood beside Erik. Oliver looked at us and said," I heard about Jason losing his memory Max and no Erik did not tell me. It was Dr.Tanner because I had asked her about Jason and Roxanne's condition. I am sure he will get his memories back Max just give it time". I replied by saying," I hope so too Oliver don't worry we will make new memories with him. How are you feeling now? Do you have any pain? Let us know if you ever need anything". Oliver responded," I am feeling a little better, but there is some pain. I will let you guys know if I need anything and besides Erik is going to be by my side so I am not worried".

Raven and I said goodbye to Oliver so that he could spend some time with Erik. After that we walked into Roxanne's room, she was watching tv when we walked into the room. When she saw us she immediately paused the screen. We talked for a bit about Jason and his condition before we moved on to talk about her health. She said that she was feeling much better since the medicines were working. The three of us chatted for some more time before her meal was brought to her since it was lunchtime. I bid Roxanne bye and then went back to Jason's room.

Jason was about to start eating his meal so I quickly rush to his side to help him. He told that his parents were going to come back in the evening after they sort some things out at home. I smiled at him and said," Well I understand don't worry I am here for you. Now let me help you finish this meal so that you can take your medicine". Jason touched my hand gently and said," Max I am so sorry that you need to take care of me. I wish I could remember how I got into a car accident in the first place. Please can you tell me what happened Max I want to know the details".

I glanced at Jason and said," Jace sweetheart don't worry your pretty little head about the details ok. I am just glad that you are sitting here right in front of me and that's all I could ever ask for Jace. I like taking care of you so you don't need to feel sorry for me, being by your side is what makes me happy sweetheart". Jason nodded his head in response and the two of us chatted with each other until he finished his meal.
