The opening ceremony was held in the International Exhibition Center inside Imperial Sky Entertainment City which could cater up to ten thousand people. The government had invested to build the exhibition center two years ago, and Imperial Sky Entertainment City was constructed around it.Many large-scale banquets were organized there such as annual dinners of big companies or New York City's New Year party.When Arya went over, a huge arch made of flowers stood at the entrance. A long, red carpet ran all the way until the very center of the International Exhibition Center while numerous flower baskets graced the aisle. A large number of greeting cards, all filled with words of congratulations, hung on a string, swaying as the wind breezed through.In one glance, the entire place was red.The staff was busy running around, and some employees were packed with jobs to do on-site too. None of them were standing around leisurely.Arya went towards the entrance as the employees at the receptionist table greeted her, "Director Johns!"She nodded. "Thanks for the hard work. We'll be able to get a good rest after today."Everyone had sacrificed their break time and went back to work, so Arya was really grateful to them."We'd be very happy if you could ask Chairman Knight to give us more bonus in the next meeting, Director Johns.""That's right, Director Johns. After a while, the door opened and James entered the house."Master!" James's voice reached him.Xavier averted his gaze away from the magazine and looked at James. "Mmm, I've made a copy of Movie City here. I'll get you a copy too in a few days. Manager is transferring after the New Year, so you'll be taking over Manager workload for the moment. I want to know your opinion on this matter."James had stayed beside Xavier for many years. He was an adopted son under Michael's name, and Xavier had always thought of him as a brother. He was very well-trained under David and Xavier. Overall, he was part of the Knight family.Yet, James had always thought of himself as a servant in the Knight family. He followed Xavier's every order without any complaints.James went silent for a moment before nodding. "I'll follow whatever your arrangement is."He closed the magazine and put it aside. Then, he sipped some tea as he glanced at James with an indifferent expression while an odd calm appeared in his eyes. "Nora is coming back soon after some time. She's closer to you among the three of us. There's something that I don't want to talk about again. I hope that we can all get a fresh start when she comes back. I want you to work in the company because I hope you can have your own life too. The same goes for Nora. I hope that everyone can live on well."James was startled, but he quickly replied, "Don't worry, Master. We understand. Nora... We won't remind her about that again, and I won't let the Missus know either.""You don't have to worry about her. I'll tell her about it if the time comes. James parked the car at a nearby parking spot before Xavier opened the door and got out of the car."Welcome!" The receptionist at the door greeted with a big smile. She was a little stunned when she saw Xavier's handsome face, and her face blushed suddenly.As Xavier stepped inside the store, a cheerful voice rang out. "Xavier! How rare for you to be here!"He looked over at the source of the voice and saw the fashionable Avery looking at him in surprise!Avery, Jacob's elder sister, who was also the owner of this clothing store, had married a lawyer several years ago and had a daughter. He went over and soon locked his gaze onto a long, elegant, sapphire-colored dress decorated with silver stars on it.He tilted his head towards Avery behind him. "I want this. Her eyes flew wide and she gaped at Xavier in shock. "Are you for real? Is it for your woman? Are you really married? I didn't believe him when he told me about it!""You can believe it now. Quick, I'm short on time," Xavier urged her as he walked towards a sofa nearby and sat down.Avery shrugged before she started barking orders to her employees to take the outfit down and pack it up.In just a brief moment, Avery had prepared the items and handed them to Xavier. "It's done. Bring her over to our place some time. Don't keep her hidden. Also, please help us counsel Jacob. He said he isn't going to get married. He makes my elders at home really worried."Xavier took the package from her and then handed it to James as he replied, "With the elders around, he can't run away from marriage forever. I think it looks great on you!""Victoria..."Evelyn was touched as she looked at the bracelet on her hand before turning to Victoria gratefully. "This bracelet... Isn't it a birthday present from Cousin?""I'll give it to you. It suits you more anyway and you look great! Pairing it with your outfit is just perfect!"Victoria smiled as she zipped her handbag up and gave Evelyn another big smile as the girl did not seem to know what to do. He was stunned for a moment when he saw her all dressed up.She wore a neutral-colored toga evening dress with a V-shaped bareback design. The dress was studded with some silver beads and there were also silver crystals embedded at the waist area with plenty of delicate, twinkling pearls sprinkled all over the side of the dress.While she just put on light makeup, she still looked charming as ever with the slight curve of her eyebrows accentuating her beautiful eyes, she was just one in a million.Her blonde hair was pulled up into a beautiful bun. Everything seemed so beautiful and charming, just as expected of a well-loved goddess.Even Ethan lost his focus.Victoria seemed thrilled when she saw Ethan staring blankly at her. She smiled and spoke in a gentle tone, "You're looking at me, silly! Start the car quickly!"Ethan came back to his senses when he heard her voice. Victoria went closer to him and left a kiss on his lips. "How do I look today? You know I could really use your perception!"Ethan doted on her and replied, "Victoria, you look beautiful..."Victoria's soft lips reached him once again before he could finish his sentence. He could not help it anymore and embraced her......Around 3 p.m. in the afternoon, guests flooded the entrance leading to the International Exhibition Center. Arya and several other staff from the PR Department were standing by the flower-filled entrance while Vice President Zhang Lan was busy greeting the incoming guests.The reception table was full of invitation cards that the guests brought back as well as many thick red packets filled with money.Vice President did not wear her usual black formal outfit and put on a dark-colored qipao instead, looking very elegant and beautiful. The other staff all changed into dresses as well, and Arya still had her black formal outfit on. She did not even have time to put on light makeup.She had been terribly busy working since the afternoon and did not even get to eat both breakfast and lunch. She only managed to grab a bun when she drove there, so she was barely hanging on now.She wanted to call Mia to get her a dress since Mia knew her size anyway, yet she had gotten so caught up in work and forgot all about it."Congratulations, Vice President, Director Johns!
