Y/N's POV:

It's a pretty typical Saturday for you. After grabbing brunch with your best friend, Nanami, you're about to head home.

"I'm telling you, this one is different," Nanami whines, her short brown hair being twirled between her fingers. Her plump, heart shaped lips are pushed into a pouty frown. "He's sweet and caring and sexy as hell."

"Honey, he's a man," you scoff, rolling your eyes in annoyance. "And you have a nice ass. You know he only wants one thing."

"Well, he can have my heart and my ass."

There's a moment of silence as you eye her up and down, but as usual, the two of you erupt together in laughter.

You met Nanami through work since you're both translators, but she translates to Japanese while you translate to English. The two of you ended up working together on a project, translating for a business deal with executives that spoke multiple different languages, and guys have been inseparable ever since.

"I'm gonna go home and be a couch potato, I don't want to be a functioning human today," you say as you head outside, feeling the warm summer air wash over your skin.

Nanami hums in agreement. "Yeah me too. I'm not sure why our boss has to be such a dickhead. I'm going to sit on my ass for 5 hours straight eating ice cream."

"This is why we're soulmates," you chuckle as she wraps you into a hug.

"[Y/N], text me!" Nanami shouts as she heads the opposite direction. "I miss your dumbass already!"

You give her a finger heart and also flip her off.

Ah, yes. The perfect pair, you think to yourself.

It was a hectic week at work so you decide to take your time heading back home, de-stressing from all the craziness that has happened over the last few days. You crave your couch but you also love moseying around the city you call home.

You live in a pretty nice area of Seoul, and although your job is very demanding, it also pays you very well. You're able to afford a pretty luxurious apartment and you feel safe in your neighborhood. The area is so safe that you even occasionally come across kpop idols or kdrama stars.

Many of the restaurants and businesses around the area know you by name, especially since you stick out as a foreigner, but they all tend to treat you warmly regardless. Stopping by the older lady's fruit cart down the block is one of your favorite things to do on the weekends. Today she even decides to throw in a few free strawberries along with your bag of apples and mangoes.

After about 30 minutes of roaming around, you finally make it back to your building. You walk over to the elevator and scan your ID badge, selecting the 8th floor. One of the added security perks in your building is that you have to be a resident to use the elevators. Those without ID badges can only access the first and second floors, which consist of the lobby, a mini convenience store, and some restaurants.

After stepping out of the elevators, you take a left and walk to your apartment door which is the furthest one on the end. It's annoying when you have to carry groceries to the end of the hall, but you enjoy having the quietness that a corner apartment brings you. Plus, the blue carpet and gray marble walls make for an aesthetic sight.

You key in your passcode and open the door which immediately brings you into your kitchen, then you slip your shoes off and set your purse onto the island. The kitchen is an open concept, as it leads straight into the living room. You purposely chose an apartment that didn't have many walls because you aren't a big fan of closed spaces; it makes you feel claustrophobic.
