Y/N's POV:

"Yeah, so I don't know what I'm going to do about my living situation," you grumble, taking a bite of your black bean noodles. It's the night before you're meant to be discharged and your friends have stayed to hangout and chat for the rest of the evening.

"I think you should just move in with him," Boram shrugs. "You're going to be over there all the time anyway."

"But what if they fight?" Jeffrey chimes in, one noodle hanging from his mouth. "What if she needs space?"

"His place is fucking huge," Nanami snickers, mixing her bowl. "If she walks to the other side of the apartment it's pretty much a different place."

"Yeah but still," you pout. "It's just about having that space to retreat to. A place of my own."

"You can always come to mine or Nanami's place," Boram giggles.

"I think you're pushing your past onto Namjoon," Nanami says bluntly with her chopsticks still in her mouth. "The two of you just professed your love to each other and all you're thinking about is how you can run away from problems that don't even exist yet."

You blink at her, irritated but also in awe of how she can read you like a book.

"Namjoon is not your ex," she continues. "I'm not going to sit here and tell you it'll be smooth sailing. He's an idol. He travels all the time. Trust me, I'm having the exact same worries. You two will argue. But I think 'needing your space in case you fight' is a poor excuse."

Your jaw slacks at her straightforwardness. You wish you could retort but she's right.

"I agree, but not as aggressively," Boram chuckles. "But if you're just not ready to commit to that level, I can understand that."

"They have a point," Jeffrey says softly. "I know we're taught to always follow our gut, but sometimes our gut is damaged. Sometimes it tells you to run when you shouldn't."

"Damn," Nanami whistles. "Okay Shakespeare."

Jeffrey shrugs, digging into his noodles. "I literally have no flaws. Get used to it."

The four of you laugh, your ribs finally not causing you to wince every time you breathe deeply. "I think I'll try it," you mumble in response. "But only if you guys promise I can come over if I need a breather."

"Deal," they both grin, their faces stuffed with noodles.

"And you all just willingly agreed to quit and work for HYBE?" you question them, baffled at how they made a decision so quickly.

"I mean, yeah," Jeffrey shrugs, leaning back in his seat to pat his full belly. "It's not personal towards Mr. Min or the company. But if you get an opportunity to work for a major corporation like that, it would be stupid to turn it down."

"I agree," Boram nods. "And I made sure that they actually needed translators for the languages we speak — that they're not just trying to shut us up. I needed to know I would actually be working."

"The list of projects they need translators for is long," Nanami groans, rubbing her neck. "I'm stressed out just thinking about it. They're adding so many new groups, trying to push them internationally."

"When will you all start?" you ask, pursing your lips.

"Next week I think. Mr. Song said he'd take care of our resignation," Jeffrey answers. "Apparently he knows someone within the company."
