Author's POV:

Jeffrey happily hums along to the radio — which ironically has Dynamite playing out of the speakers — lightly tapping his hands on the steering wheel as Namjoon awkwardly sits in the passenger seat of his Mercedes Benz. Jeffrey threatened to cause a scene earlier if Namjoon didn't leave you alone, risking the neighbors coming out to see him.

Namjoon's stomach was already in knots, but his heart has been in his throat ever since he saw Jeffrey leaving your apartment, calling you pet names and saying he'd be back again tonight. Jeffrey has hardly said a word, making Namjoon suffer in silence.

"Are you sleeping with her?" Namjoon finally finds the courage to croak out, keeping his eyes on his hands that tightly grip his sweatpants. He's not sure if he actually wants to know the answer or not.

Jeffrey glances over at him before sighing, leaning his head back against the leather behind him. "Yes I am."

Yeah he definitely did not want to hear the answer. Every muscle in Namjoon's body tenses in anger and hurt, the food Jin forced him to eat this morning threatening to come back up.

"I mean technically, I am sleeping with her," he says, noticing Namjoon's reaction. "But if you're asking if I'm fucking her, then no, I'm not."

Namjoon bites into his lip to fight back the tears from his throat tightening, trying to force his body to relax. He's relieved you're not having sex with Jeffrey but he's still sick that another man sleeps next to you at night.

He's surprised he even made it through the day yesterday. He was a total wreck after Jimin had told him Jeffrey was in your bed. That was his place and he's gone and fucked it up. Of course he's still hurting from the Jungkook situation but he's realized he was in the wrong for ever thinking you would purposely hurt him like that. You've given him every reason to trust you and he didn't.

"We're here," Jeffrey smiles, pulling into the parking garage. "Let's get some coffee."

He locks the car as they head to the company cafe, Jeffrey ordering an iced mocha while Namjoon settles for water, knowing he won't be able to keep anything else down. Jeffrey makes his way to one of the secluded tables in the back as Namjoon follows behind, trying to control his breathing. Jeffrey plops himself down on the cobalt blue booth as Namjoon takes the metal chair across from him.

"Mmm, that's delicious," Jeffrey grins, taking another sip from his straw.

"What do you want to talk about?" Namjoon glares, getting more and more frustrated with the situation. Jeffrey's been purposely making him wait, antagonizing him with his laid back behavior.

"[Y/N] of course," he responds like it's the most obvious thing in the world, leaning forward to rest his elbows on the table. "I have feelings for her."

Namjoon's eyes widen as he stares at the irritatingly beautiful man sitting across from him. He had a feeling Jeffrey felt more than friendship for you but he had no proof, and even if he did, Namjoon wasn't seriously worried about him. Sure he got jealous sometimes but he never considered Jeffrey much of a threat. Not until now.

"Correction, I had feelings for her," he grins mischievously, taking another sip from his coffee. "I'd had a crush on [Y/N] for almost a year until you came along. I was finally able to let go once I saw the stars in her eyes as she talked about you."

The ache in Namjoon's chest creeps up into his neck and shoulders, making him feel like a weight is crushing down on him. The regret at how he handled the situation is almost eating him alive, and Jeffrey reminding him of your love for him only drives the knife deeper.
