Wriothesely's POV

 Argh!

 I can't focus.

Let alone finish the rest of my paperwork. I couldn't even concentrate enough not to walk straight into a wall when I went out on a walk to clear my head.

 That sentence!

 That darm sentence!

You will have to figure that out yourself, Duke Wriothesely.

 Figure out my ass!

After being fed with some cake that was far more delicious than it had any right to be, Neuvillette promptly kicked me out last night.

 Tsk!

I hope you drown in paperwork!

After taking a walk that was anything but calming and refreshing through the fortress and scaring quite a few inmates with the frown that I was quite sure I had, I finally had an idea of how I could vent some of my frustration.

I went back to my office and then straight down.

 Hmph!

 Let's see...

I found my way to the seal and punched-

"You truly should stop doing that, Wriothesely."

Along with the voice, his figure suddenly appeared before me.

 "Holy- Have you gone insane?!"

I was just barely able to stop myself before I punched him in the face.

"I can assure you that I'm still sound of mind."

Sound of mind. Sound of mind...

"Who in their right mind would jump in front of a punch like that?! That aside, what the hell are you doing here?! Aren't you supposed to be babysitting?"

"Melusines do not need a babysitter. I merely make sure they are comfortable and well-fed during their more difficult times. Besides..."

As he spoke, he walked towards me.

 Towards and through.

 "What the-"

"I never left them on their own for even a second."

"The hell? What is this? An illusion?"

I couldn't help but poke my finger through his figure. A gesture that was not appreciated in the least.

"In simple terms. While the Primordial Sea is deadly for those of Fontaine, it also holds immense power. This little fact makes our current conversation take place quite easily."

"So you're like... Using the power from the Sea to create this illusion?"

 "Correct." He nodded.

"Hah... Hahahaha! Pft! You truly are... Hahahaha!"

I couldn't help but burst out laughing.

"I'm unable to see how this is even remotely funny."

"And that's exactly what makes it so amusing, dear Chief Justice."

He simply stared at me blankly, truly not understanding the current situation.

"Oh dear. It seems I have made a mistake. Allow me to correct myself. That's exactly what makes it so amusing, Neuvillette."

 And now he was frowning.

 Sigh...

"Do you speak like this to other people as well?" I had to ask.
