Chapter 54 - A Chance At A Happy Ending

Michelle's POV

Isn't that Celeste's car?

"Love, who's car is that? Hindi naman yata car nila Rhian or Mel yan," Ann asked, glancing at me with a curious expression while she pointed a finger at the car.

"It's Celeste's car, baby," I answered as worry crept up to me, knowing how Ann felt about Celeste.

"Celeste? She's here? What's she doing here?" Ann questioned, her eyebrows furrowing in confusion.

"Before you get upset, Celeste's probably here with her girlfriend. She was also the one who told me to push through the engagement when we both weren't on great terms," I explained clearly, hoping to ease her concern.

Ann nodded, "I see, was that the reason why you both were on a call with each other last time?" She asked for clarification as her expressions softened.

"Yeah, she wanted to check up on how we both were doing. She asked for advice as well for her relationship with her girlfriend," I confirmed as I let out a soft smile, "She was really supportive of us both," I added.

"That's nice to know," she murmured, her gaze slowly drifting away before meeting mine again. "I'm fine with Celeste here, as long as it won't place any issue between us."

"I promise, it won't. You don't have to worry about anything, baby. Ikaw lang naman yung gusto ko and no one or nothing could ever change that," I reassured her, reaching out to hold her hand gently.

A soft smile played on her lips, "I know, and I feel just the same about you, love," she says, leaning in to press a kiss on my lips.

As the kiss broke off, we both headed down the car to meet with our friends inside, hand in hand.

"The other disgustingly cute couple's here!" Rhian exclaimed once she saw Ann and I walking in, excitement visible in her tone.

"You too took long, where'd you guys go?" Melissa asked, looking at us both with a curious expression.

"Exactly, you got your new guests waiting such a long time," Celeste chimed in, offering a friendly smile.

"Ann and I went on a date, we had lunch with my mom as well," I answered, as Ann and I walked to the couch.

"Michelle's mom is such a sweetheart, we had a great time," Ann glanced at me, having a warm smile on her lips.

As Ann was about to sit down, I got her to sit on my lap instead. And when she did, I immediately wrapped my arms around her waist, settling my chin on her shoulder.

"Cel, it's great that you're here. Apologies if we're a bit late, anyway, I thought you were here with your girlfriend?" I asked, looking at Celeste with a curious expression.

"It's fine, no worries, I'm glad you and Ann had fun together. And as for my girlfriend, she'll be here tomorrow," Celeste answered, smiling warmly.

"That's great, all of us can't wait to meet her," I replied, genuinely happy for Celeste.

"Okay, I'd like to bring up something," Max spoke, drawing everyone's attention. "What's with you, Lisa, and Jennie? I mean, you both have been acting quite...lovey with each other?"

"Exactly! What the hell's going on with you two?" Ann agreed, directing her eyes to Lisa and Jennie, who were cuddling with each other.

"Nothing," they both answered synchronously, looking at us with mischievous grins. "Nothing's going on," Lisa added.

"Oh, it's not just nothing! Come on, spill it na! We all know something is going on," Janina teased, letting out a laugh.
