“Lisa.”

Jennie wasn’t very pleased with his tone of voice. Even though they were married, she was still an independent person.

“Wifey...”

“Lisa, don’t be like this.”

Jennie wanted to say more but saw that there were other people around. She gave him a helpless look and got in the car.

Lisa followed very closely behind her and got in the car as well.

“Wifey...”

“Let’s get home first. We’ll talk more after we get there.”

This really isn’t a good place to talk, she thought.

The restaurant wasn’t far from Jennie’s apartment. The two were back in their apartment after half an hour.

Jennie went into the kitchen and poured water for Lisa and herself. She came out and placed a cup of water in front of Lisa, then sat down across from him.

“Lisa.”

“Wifey, speak your mind.” Lisa sat up straight and looked as if he were all ears.

Jennie couldn’t express her anger. It was a headache for her when she faced Lisa’s shameless attitude.

“Don’t you know? Even though we are married, I still want to keep a part of myself.”

“Wifey...”

“Listen to me finish first.” Jennie had been feeling this way for a long time. Lisa entered her life too hastily.

She had not had time to prepare at all. The two had gotten married right away and now they’d reached the final stage.

She wasn’t used to this type of sudden intimate relationship.

“Lisa, I know that you’re a good person.” He had agreed to help her and had been very good to her.

“But I think that our relationship is developing too fast. I hope we can...”

“Too fast?”

“You...”

“Think about it. We are already married. You see, in fantasies, the prince and princess get married and that’s the end. We rushed to the end at the very beginning and skipped many steps. Shouldn’t we hurry and make up for the what we missed?”

Jennie was speechless and stared at him dumbfounded.

“Therefore, we should grab hold of this time to get to know each other and be in love. That makes more sense, right?”

Jennie didn’t know what to say as she faced this kind of logic. “That’s not what I meant.”

“I know.” Lisa’s expression changed to a crestfallen one. “Were you annoyed by my attitude just now?”

“I was not annoyed. I only...”

“I am only a bit unhappy. I didn’t mean to point fault at you.”

Lisa walked up to her and grabbed her hand.

“Think about it. We are already married, but you don’t even tell me about hanging out with your friends. That obviously means you see me as an outsider. That doesn’t make me happy.”

“Lisa, I...”

“I understand, don’t worry. I will try to control this type of unhappiness in the future. But you have to promise to call me when you’re hanging out with your friends, alright?”
