Jackson and Han both held positions in Tianyu. One was the manager of the business department while the other was the manager of marketing.

“Director Manoban, I think that you can’t entirely blame me for this matter.”

Jackson was a man who kept private matters away from work-related ones in the office. Under normal circumstances, he would usually address Lisa by his name.

“What do you mean?”

“Nothing.” Jackson gave a fleeting smile. “The entire Rong City knows about your exceptional capabilities, Director Manoban. You’ve almost wrapped this case up. If I accept it and continue the negotiations, won’t I be taking away your credit?”

Lisa studied Jackson’s face, feeling more like giving him a punch with every second.

“Director Manoban, don’t get angry. Don’t you think it makes sense? As a younger brother, I shouldn’t be taking away all your credit, right?”

“So you think that you can just sit and do nothing, and allow this case, which can already be scheduled to commence, to remain in a suspended state?”

Lisa’s voice sounded icy. His fingers drummed against the surface of the table in a subconscious manner, foreshadowing wrath that would soon come.

“How so? Aren’t you back already? You can continue it. Furthermore, I’ve already consulted the chairman.”

Tianyu’s current chairman was Lisa’s father, Hyun-Bin.

“Are you using the chairman to intimidate me?”

“I wouldn’t dare. I’m just telling you the facts.”

Jackson retained his arrogant smirk. Lisa nodded. “Good. Very well. Since Manager Manoban thinks that a consultation is required for such a task, I think that you’re no longer interested in keeping your position. Perhaps you shouldn’t even stay in the business department. You shall be in logistics now.”

“Lisa.” Jackson stood up. “What’s the meaning of this?”

“Nothing much.” Lisa couldn’t care less about the shift in his expression. “This company only belongs to whoever is capable of running it. If the company couldn’t perform adequately just because I was gone for a few days, why should I keep you?”

The atmosphere in the meeting room was in an extremely ominous state. Lisa stood up without a care.

“Today I will go to Lin Enterprise personally and get the agreement settled. However, this is the last time. I hope that you two can do what you’re supposed to do whenever I’m not around and keep your own opinions in check instead of facing me with such irresponsibility.”

Jackson glared at Lisa, darkness shrouding his gaze. Lisa’s eyes swept across the entire meeting room.

“As for Manager Manoban's arrangement — that takes effect immediately.”

Jackson took half a step forward, thinking to negotiate with Lisa.

Han grabbed his hand from behind, shaking his head gently as he looked at him.

Jackson’s footsteps came to a stop, his eyes dark and ominous as his gaze pierced Lisa’s back.

Meanwhile, the vehicle Jennie and the rest were traveling in continued to plunge downwards. Its middle collided twice with the car behind them.

The force of being hit from the back repeatedly, then plunging downwards, caused Jennie to hit her head against the front seat. She blacked out momentarily.
