“Yes,” Jennie took a glimpse of her phone that was lying nearby. I have not received Lisa’s call today. “Perhaps he is busy.”

During this period of time, Jun Ji-hyun had also more or less grasped some information regarding Lisa’s background. He was really a busy man and regularly needed to work overtime, entertain his clients and deal with many other aspects of his work.

“Come to think of it, both of you have been married for about six months already. Do you plan to have children?”

Jun Ji-hyun did not think that having children would help to strengthen marriage bonds, but Jennie is over twenty-five years of age now. This was the optimal age for having children if she planned to have any.

“We haven’t discussed this yet.” Jennie shook her head and smiled a little awkwardly. “It’s too soon. There’s no hurry.”

Ever since Lisa found out that she had been taking contraception pills, he has been taking protective measures.

Both of them felt that it was not the right time to have children yet. Since they shared the same view, they had decided that it could wait.

Jun Ji-hyun carefully observed her face and a sudden possibility occurred to her. “Jennie, you’re not against having children because of my relationship with your father, are you?”

“Of course it’s not because of that,” Jennie dispelled that idea without hesitation. “I just feel that I’m still young and don’t feel like having a child so soon.”

Jun Ji-hyun glanced at her and remained silent. However, she knew in her heart that Jennie was not speaking the truth.

She must feel like this because of me. She feels that she is an illegitimate daughter and her biological father treats her coldly. I, as her mother, had not been there for her for such a long time, too.

Jun Ji-hyun’s heart ached. She had so much to say but did not know where to begin. She lowered her head and hid her watery eyes amidst the warm vapor from the hot spring.

Jennie did not know if Jun Ji-hyun believed her words either. When she had the thought to explain herself further, Jun Ji-hyun had already lifted her head to look at her. She had a faint smile on her face.

“This hot spring makes me feel rather good. Didn’t the service personnel mention that there was floral-scented tea? I feel like having a cup. Do you want one?”

“I’ll go get it.” Jennie got up as she was speaking to fetch a cup of tea for Jun Ji-hyun. It seemed that Jun Ji-hyun had trusted what she said and she did not want to bring the topic up anymore.

Even though it was comfortable to be immersed in the hot spring, it was not advisable to stay in there for too long.

Jun Ji-hyun had the habit of going to sleep early, so the duo got up from the hot spring after a while and returned to their room to rest.

Not long after they had gone back to their room, Hye-Jun and her friends left their rooms and headed for the hot spring pool. They just missed Jennie and Jun Ji-hyun.

Jun Ji-hyun slept early, but Jennie could not fall asleep.

Lisa had the habit of calling her every day when she was abroad, but most of the day had passed and Lisa had not contacted her.

Flipping over, Jennie picked up her phone. It was almost 11 PM. If Lisa did not call her soon, she would go to sleep.

As soon as she thought that, her phone screen lit up.

Seeing Lisa’s name on her screen, she quickly silenced her ringtone, turned to see that Jun Ji-hyun was still sleeping and swiftly got up to go to the bathroom to answer the call.
