June 10, 2015, 11:46 p.m

I was walking downtown Sydney, picking up an order for my mum. she didn't want to drive out because by the time she'd be own her way back it'd be dark. my mum hates driving in the dark. I literally waited two hours just to pick up this freaking box.

I walked out of the shop holding the box with the cold air hitting me. I held the box clumsy in one hand as I pulled my beanie over my ears more and started walking down the street.

I saw a small girl standing at the bus stop smoking a cigarette. she looked more familiar than I thought, and once I was closer to her, I realized she was the girl from support group.

"lily?"

he attention turned towards me as she looked confuse so I gave her a warming smile, "hi, uh, it's calum. from support group?"

her expression soften and she nodded, "yeah, calum, the one who starved himself, right?" she asked unruly making my cheeks go redder if it were possible.

"yeah, that one," I muttered cringing at her cigarette smoke hitting my face, "smoking kills," I said as she took another puff.

"that's the point," she breathed out before dropping the cig on the concrete and stomping over it.

maybe lilly isn't so bad.

I cleared my throat, "where are you heading to?" i questioned.

"haleigh road," she said and i smiled.

"that's right by my house," i smiled and shrugged, "you know, instead of riding the bus, you can catch a ride with me? it'd be a lot quicker, and warmer?"

i could tell she was considering it, but instead of agreeing she shook her head, and declined my offer. i frowned, waiting for her reasoning as to why she couldn't get a ride with me.

"thanks, but no thanks," she said keeping her eyes locked across the street instead of looking at me.

"cmon, lily, why not? i'll even stop and get us a hot chocolate," i said nudging her shoulder. i knew she wanted to get a ride, but she just wouldn't accept my offer. i was only trying to be friendly.

"you know what," i said before grabbing her hand and began pulling her down the street towards where my car was parked.

she gave me a concerned look, as she tried pulling her fingers away from me, but i refused to let go of her. i couldn't help but to smile, and laugh at her attempt of getting out of my grasp.

"calum, stop! what are you doing?" she asked as i shrugged, arriving to my mums car, and unlocking the door.

"sorry lily, but i'm just not taking no for an answer," i replied as she glanced at the car and sighed before nodding and getting in the car.

i let her chose the song on my cd, being polite. i was a little shocked when she actually like the band. rosie hates it. she still lets me listen to it though, even though its not her choice. but i still care if she wants to listen to it or not, after all, she's basically my girlfriend.

i need to make things official between her and i. i really like her, reguardless of what her parents think about me, or even us together. fuck them.

"are you listening to me?" she asked softly as i blushed, feeling bad for zoning out on her.

"yeah, sorry, i was just thinking," i said, "what is it?"

she shook her head, shrugging her shoulder a little bit, "nothing," she mumbled quietly and i frowned.

"lily, i wasn't ignoring you, i just zoned out, i wouldn't ignore you," i said and she nodded her head, staying quiet, causing me to sigh and continue driving to 7/11 to get the both of us a hot chocolate.

once i pulled up, the both of us walked inside and got small hot chocolates before retrieving back to the car. it was starting to get a lot colder lately. i thought it was going to be a pretty warm summer. it started off warm, but apparently the weather has mood swings.

as we sat in the car letting it warm up. it was quiet because the music was off, and all it consisted of was us sipping out hot chocolates. I glanced over at her and down to her hands and smiled. her fingers chunky were so chunky, it was so cute.

"aw, you have the cutest hands ever," I smiled making her blush deeply pulling her sweater over them.

"stop, my hands are the ugliest things. they're so far and ew," she said and I shook my head.

"they're not fat. they're chunky. they're so adorable. like your whole entire body is small, and having chunky hands makes you even cuter," I smiled, not realizing what I had just said. I blushed shaking my head. "sorry, that probably sounded...weird."

she nodded her head shrugging as I pulled and began driving back down to her street. my phone began ringing and I picked it up, since it was Ashton and held it against my left ear.

"hey, lad, what's going on?"

"calum, did you go and talk to my dad?" he asked as my brow furrow and I shook my head.

"no man, how would I even be able to talk to your dad? I don't have no number or anything. and besides, that'd be weird. why would I do that?" I asked as he sighed.

"yeah...sorry, I wasn't thinking. I gotta go. i'll talk to you later..."

with that he hung up, leaving me confused, but I shrugged it off, and tried to make small talk with lily. she's so quiet, I wish she'd talk more.

"so, do you mind me asking why you're in support group? you never introduced yourself," I asked and she nodded.

"same reason you are..."

I nodded my head, knewing that I had guessed right. I figured she was there for the same reason why I was, just by her questions. and plus how small he was.

"it's doesn't get easier," she said and I took a glance at her, wondering what she meant. "just because you're going to support group doesn't mean it gets easier. not a day that goes by the I don't get a craving to do it," she said, "but you made it seem different when you came."

I shook my head, "different? different how," I asked.

her shoulders were brought up to a shrug, "I don't know. you just made me feel better about myself. both you and your friend did."

I nodded, not really knowing what to say. once I got to her road, she directed me to her house and I parked in front and smiled.
"enjoy the hot chocolate, and stay warm. maybe you could text me sometime?"

she stopped getting out of the car, and hesitantly shaking her head, making me give her a confused frown.

"why not?"

"don't have one...see you around," and with that she walked off and into her house, and I waved her goodbye although she was ready gone.

lily was cool. she was nice. maybe being friends with someone who understand me won't be such a bad thing.
