"No, we're not being like that," I told Ashton. I should of known he would of said something over Calum.

"Being like what," he questioned.

"Like this, you know what I mean, Ashton," I said as he sighed and nodded. I know he knew exactly what I meant.

"Why do you get so worried about Calum anyways?" I asked him, "I'm with you, Ashton, not him," I explained. "We're just friends."

"Yeah and so were we," He remarked as I glanced at him and He sighed clearly frustrated as he pulled his hand from mine. "I just get worried, because I know you guys kissed and that he tried touching you before. Of course I'm going to be worried over you guys, because how am I suppose to know you guys aren't going to do something again?"

I was getting really angry by now. I had no feelings towards Calum and the fact that we're speaking of him also made me feel real guilty because of how I lied to him and still am currently lying to him. I lifted up and sat up, leaning against the wall while crossing my legs trying to stay calm.

"Ashton, Calum and I are just friends," I said, "You're being ridiculous," I told him while shaking my head.

"I don't see how I'm being ridiculous," he countered.

"Yeah, says the one who has a girlfriend," I remarked trying my hardest to not roll my eyes.

After that he was silent for a moment, because what I said was true and he knew it too. He didn't have anything to say back to me. I was just done with arguing. After apologizing I asked him to go get some slushies because we both know we love them. Once we went into the gas station, I walked off to the candy aisle to feed my munchies.

I looked around to some sour patch kids because I know Ash likes those, and air head rainbow minnies. After getting those I grabbed a few extra candy that looked good.

"Those are my favorite," a pretty voice said as I reached for the watermelon sour patches. I glanced up to see a beautiful girl.

She had dirty blonde curls, and by curls, I mean super curly hair. It was really pretty though, and looked good with her light tanned skin. She wore a long sleeve olive green, tight, shirt with black skinny jeans with her glasses on.

"Mine too," I said as I realized she looked familiar. "You look so familiar," I said with a small polite smile as she chuckled.

"If that's your way of flirting, you're gonna have to  do better than that," she spoke making me laugh as I shook my head.

"No, it's not I'm much more awkward when it comes to that," I said making her laugh.

She nodded, "Actually, it's Joe, not that you remember," she said as I thought back.

"Joe! The girl I met in Brisbane at the hotel?"

She smiled big, her teeth were perfect. So white, and such nice lips. She nodded, moving her hair behind her shoulder, "Yes, girl with penguin pajamas."

"Weird for you being here, I didn't know you lived in the area," I said as she shrugged.

"Didn't know you lived here either," she said. "I was hoping to bump into you on the day I left the hotel," she said.

"Yeah, I was hoping so too," I told her, not exactly sure why I said that. I meant it back then but now, I don't. I have Ashton, which he's all I've ever wanted and needed. I don't need to hope to be running into anyone, especially Joe. She's so beautiful too, I don't need her to be on my mind out of all people, "Looks like the universe has a weird way of having two people bump into each other," I said as she smiled and nodded.

I glanced down at my feet before back up to her, "Would it be weird to ask you for your number?"

No Luke, you idiot. You know better, you know you shouldn't be asking this hot if a girl for a number when you're with Ashton! No, no, it's okay. All I want to do is catch up. I barely knew the girl but for some reason I felt like I did. After all we talking for hours when we met. She made me feel good when I was nearly at my downest. See Luke, you don't even make sense you moron.

Her dimple popped out when she grinned and shook her head, "Not at all. Rather have you asked than me," she chuckled before we pulled out our phones and exchanged numbers.

"Get the candy?" Ashton asked as we approached each other again, as I nodded.

"Yeah, I got it," I told him before looking back at her as she gave Ashton a friendly smile.

"I guess I'll talk to you later," she smiled and I nodded saying goodbye before heading to the check out aisle.

It was really crazy to see Joe here. I thought she lived in Brisbane. I had no idea we even remotely lived near each other. I had a weird feeling in my stomach. Maybe it was nerves from bumping into her, or I was feeling anxious.

Once we got back to Ashton's house we turned on a movie and laid beside each other and cuddled, while we drunk our slushies.

For some reason I couldn't get Joe out of my head. She looked so pretty. It's not like I have a crush on her or anything of that sort. But she was imprinted into my brain for no reason at all.

After feeling my phone vibrate, I reached for it and look at the new text message, which just so happen to be from Joe.

Joe: Nice seeing you again, penguin boy

I couldn't help but smile at the text before replying back.

Luke: penguin boy?? were not  you the one with the penguin pajamas?

Joe: Caught me red handed!
Delivered

I smiled before clicking my phone off, since I knew how much Ashton hated when someone was always on their phone around him. I glanced at him as he was intently focused on the movie and I smiled at him and quickly leaned in, giving him a kiss.

As I leaned back he glanced at me with a huge grin, making his adorable dimples pop out. "What was that for?"

I shrugged my shoulders, "Just so you know how much you mean to me," I said as he giggled before giving me another quick peck and then diverting his eyes back to the moving we were watching.
