I did what I had to do.
The kiss is even better than I could ever imagine. It's full of passion: we're letting out feelings that we've been hiding for a long time, and I feel the need to make up for all the time we lost.
Ashley pulls my head further into the kiss, and I can feel his soft lips even more. I open my eyes to take in the beauty of his face; he does the same. We make eye contact, but it's not awkward, it's beautiful.
In response, I feel him smile against my lips. Taking this as my cue, I pull slightly away from Ash and he takes me into a hug, his head sheltered by my shoulders.
This is the way it should be, always.
But all good things must come to an end, and soon Ashley starts breathing quicker.
"Andy," He struggles to say, "I'm scared.
