I saw the bruise and was immediately pissed. Who gave it to her? I know she didn't get it during the fight. It looks like its been there for a couple of days. Or weeks.

My heart shattered when I saw the bruise. Who would do this to my sweet little sister?

I swear I'm going to murder whoever hurt her.

Suddenly something clicked in my head.

"You shouldn't tell your brother what I did to you, Helen."

"Brad, no! Please, Brad that hurts!"

"Has he ever hit you?"

"No, he would never do that!"

Ex-boyfriend.

Everything was leading to one person and one person only.

"Brad," I said.

Helen froze and looked at me. "What?"

"Brad, did this to you, huh?"

Helen nodded and tears swelled in her eyes.

I clenched my jaw and balled my fists.

"He made me feel weak, Luke," She said and burst out crying.

I felt my heart break as she broke down into tears. She was so vulnerable, so hurt. It was hard to see.

Her knees gave out but I rushed forward and caught her.

She gripped my arms and sobbed into my chest.

"I'm so sorry Luke. I knew I should have told you but, I I just couldn't talk about it."

I had no words. No reactions. No feelings. I felt numb on the inside.

"Don't tell mom, please, Luke. Don't tell her," Helen said.

I stayed silent, because I knew if I opened my mouth, I'd scream.

I swallowed the ball that was forming in my throat.

"Let's get you cleaned up," I said shakily.

"Okay," Helen said and walked up the stairs.

I stood where I was completely frozen.

"Luke, are you going to be okay?" Helen asked me.

I cleared my throat, "Yea, I'm going to be okay. Just need to think things through."

She nodded and walked upstairs.

My anger slowly leaving my body. I bolted out the door and screamed as I ran. Brad hurt my sister. He hurt the most important person in my life.

I ran until I reached Calum's house. I was fuming.

I knocked on the door and Joy, Calum's mom opened up.

"Hello, Luke. Come in, Calum is downstairs in the basement, with the other boys.

"Thank you, Joy," I said and walked past her and into the basement.

I walked down the stairs and sung the door open and slammed it shut. I was breathing heavily.

"Luke, what's wrong, mate?" Calum asked.

That's when I lost it.
