"Do you understand your mission, girls?" Two girls stood in front of their mother.
"Yes Mother," They said in unison.
The girls had matching black hair that went down to their mid-back, but they had different eye colors. One had blood red eyes while the other had blue ones.
"Great! Now Allie, I'm expecting you to be the one to kill that stupid octopus. Aliyah, I need you to make sure your sister doesn't mess up. Now, go make Mother proud," The woman waved them off.
The girls walked off together, and after a moment, the girl with blue eyes spoke softly, "you'll succeed, I know you will."
"Thanks, sis," her sister answered with a grin.
The two grabbed each other's hand and continued on. They both said one word in unison. It meant much to them, though it may seem not important to others.
"Together."
It explained their entire life. They had only known each other for as long as they could remember. Sure, they had met others, but their true friends were each other.
Little did they know, things could change once they met some new people.
