CHAPTER 51 - Operation: Fixing A Lonely Heart

"Seriously, Rhea, I just love the sound you make when you're not talking. So, how about you have a nice big cup of SHUT THE HELL UP!"

That was Steph and she just snarled at me. Kapal talaga ng mukha! She blackmailed me then hijacked my car tapos siya pa ngayon ang may ganang magtaas ng boses sa akin. Grabe!

I gave her the death stare but she just rolled her eyes in return.   
I ignored it. I know I'm getting into her nerves. She actually looked like she's about two breaths away from some sort of a breakdown. That certainly felt good inside. Makabawi man lang sa mga perwisyong idinudulot niya sa akin.

I've been verbally abusing her ever since we left the University with her driving my car. Hindi ko alam kung saan kami pupunta. I tried asking her but she kept on ignoring me. Hindi ko alam kung saan niya ako dadalhin. Kung anong pinaplano niyang gawin. Higit sa lahat, hindi ko alam kung anong problema niya sa buhay, letse siya! 

Anyway, I'm just resorting to verbal abuse since that's the best I can do. Well, at least for now. Naghihintay lang talaga ako ng perfect timing para makabawi sa kaniya. If only she isn't holding anything against me. Kung wala lang talaga kami sa kotse. Kanina ko pa sana siya nasaktan!

"And I would love to beat the crap out of you. Dammit, just where the hell are we going?!"

Again, she ignored me. Kinuha niya yung phone niya at mukhang mag tetext pa ata.

"Hoy! Kung gusto mo mag pakamatay, pwede ba, huwag mo akong idamay!"

Texting while driving.

I know everybody has the right to be stupid but she's really abusing that privilege.

I woke up in the sound of the engine stopping. I immediately looked at Steph and saw that she's just about to step out of the car. Napatigil siya when she noticed me.

"Oh good, you're awake. We're here. Bumaba ka na diyan."

If only I didn't saw a family standing outside, I swear I could've slapped Steph's ugly face in an instant. Kung makapag utos sa akin. Nakaka init ng ulo!

I unbuckle my seatbelt. Nag aalangan akong bumaba. Hindi ko alam kung saan lupalop ako dinala nitong bwisit na si Stephanie. Hindi niya ako pinapansin kanina kaya inantok ako at nakatulog. Nakakainis!

It's no use kung maghihintay lang ako dito sa kotse. I didn't have the keys anyway. Hawak pa din nung babaeng 'yon at mukhang wala talagang balak isauli sa akin.

Bumaba na ako. I might as well scan the area. Para alam ko kung saan ako tatakbo when the situation finally calls for---

Wait, what? Tatakbo? Wala naman siguro siya masamang balak sa akin diba? Nasaan na ba kasi kami?!

I saw her mingling with the family that consist of what seemed to be an elder couple, a skinny guy that looked the same age as us if not younger, and a little girl. Middle schooler, I bet.

What is this, a family reunion?

Lumapit na ako sa kanila. I heard Steph mentioning my name and the word 'friend' also came up. Hindi ko matanggap. Hindi ko talaga matanggap.

"We're not friends. Actually, pinilit niya nga lang ako dalhin dito eh." I told them.

I glared at Steph. Umiiling lang siya habang yung pamilya naman kausap niya, natahimik.
