"hi." i answer chris' facetime.

i'm in california for (most of) christmas break. i don't mind, my mom moved to venice beach so i'm minutes from the ocean and since it's legal, i can smoke all the weed i want. of course since i just got here, i'm jet lagged, but that doesn't mean that i don't plan on laying by the beach like my life depends on it. napping on the beach with a joint? sounds like the time of my life, if you ask me.

"hi beautiful." he says and i smile.

"i miss you."

"it's only been a day."

"i know but," i pout. "long day. plus i'm almost a full day behind."

"nine hours isn't a full day." he says and i smile.

"aw, you know the time difference." i smile.

"of course i know the time difference. william and i used to talk almost every day when he was in america with you."

"ugh, friend goals." i laugh.

"speaking of friend goals, where is jamie win?"

"her last name isn't win, it's prent. her middle name is winifred and jamiep was taken on insta. and she's in san francisco." i explain briefly and he nods. "how's norway?"

"good. cold. boys and i are heading up to a cabin to ski."

"sounds very norwegian."

"do you ski?"

"i can but i prefer snowboarding."

"of course you do." he laughs and i flip him off. "so, is it warm there?"

"it isn't currently, but it'll get warm later."
