"it's quite catchy." eva says, talking about justin bieber's new song.

"who are you talking about?" noora asks and i smile.

"justin.. your crush." i laugh and she flips me off.

"eva, piper, that's between us."

"look, look!" eva says, showing us the cover.

"yeah, yeah. i saw that." suddenly, a girl and a boy both wearing santa hats are in front of us, shouting hellos.

"the theater group invites you to the christmas tree lighting on friday." a girl hands us each a sheet of papaer. "are you coming?"

"maybe?" eva answers for all of us.

"you have to." the girl insists. "the entire school will be there."

"okay, we're coming." she says and the girl smiles and the two of them walk away.

"i'm not going to be here-" i say, but i hear william say our code word, 'seventy-six', i guess it's a code number really, which means to not interrupt.

"hi beautiful." william says, coming up behind eva, noora and i as we walk down the stairs.

"willhelm! wow." noora says

"you're not answering my messages?" he says and i roll my eyes.

"no power." she laughs. "for two weeks straight." she shrugs, and eva grips my hand, knowing how funny i find this whole situation.

"should we skip the next class?"

"you have to give up now."
