"noora!" i knock on her front door.

"piper!" eskild answers the door.

"hi, eskild." i smile.

"noora's in her room. might be sleeping." he says after hugging me.

"thanks, buddy." i say, and open her door. "noora." i sing, taking a step into her room.

"hi, pip?" she says, looking up from her computer.

"william has sent me."

"of course he has."

"said you weren't answering his texts."

"phone's fucked." she shakes her head. "why?"

"he wants to talk to you." i shrug. "in person."

"okay." she nods.

"here." i hand her my phone. "call him."

"is he injured?"

"some bruising on his face." i shrug. "chris' face is a little fucked up again, poor guy." i laugh.
