Chapter 35

-a few weeks after the incident-

I'm sitting on my bed watching Tv when Keith comes in.

"Hey babe so how ya feeling?"

"Eh it still kinda hurts but no where near as badly"

"Well i guess thats good." he comes and sits down next to me.

"I think we should buy a house"

He's kinda surprised by that "ok we can start looking this weekend."

"It has to be local though. All my horses are here, I manage the barn."

"I know you do and thats fine" he smiles. "do you know where your going for college?"

"Yup"

"Ok where is it? I want to be somewhere close to you"

"Its literally half an hour away in the ritzy area a little north of us, Its a world renounced equestrian college so."

"Ah so you aren't going far away?"

I laugh a little "yes I'm not going far away."

"I have an idea!"

"What?"

"Ill go find a real estate agent and start looking, Ill find out what houses are for sale in the area and then I can take you to come see them."

"Uh ok I guess, I'm coming with you though."

"You need to rest"

"No I need to move I cant keep babying it"

"Its been 2 weeks the doctor said to take it easy"

"I have and walking around isn't going to kill me"

"Why do you always have to be so stubborn?" he laughs

"Cause thats just how i am" I get up and grab my coat "now lets go"

"Ok If it starts to bother you let me know and we can go home ok?"

"Ok" I nod. "mom were going out ok?" I scream upstairs

"Ok be careful" she says while walking out of the kitchen "where you heading?"

"To find a real es-" Keith starts to say before i elbow him to keep quiet

"We're going out"

"Ok" my mom says with a definite sense that she knows something's up...
