Time may not acknowledge it, but history does. And for as long as time moves, it will remain that way. Life and death. It's a gamble.

That night, I couldn't bring myself to speak any further. In the end, I couldn't speak about it. The memory of losing Shiori in that white light was too much for me. I turned towards the door. "Do you not plan to continue ?", I was asked. I didn't bother to look at any of their faces. "I have no interest to do so at the moment", I replied. "Do you plan to ?" I smirked. "Even though there are some things that Shiori would have wanted me to tell you", I mumbled, reaching for the door and then opening it. I looked over my shoulder. "You should be very aware that we both move at different paces. If you want the entire story of how things ended up this way, then I suggest that you remain patient. I don't plan to tell you everything that quickly." Sara sighed and crossed her arms over her chest. "That's to be expected", she replied as she looked over to the man beside her. He nodded his head. "Jah", Asai called out, "Assuming how Shiori's disappearance may have affected you, asking you about things may be too soon. Do come back and tell when you're ready." "There are no promises", I replied as I walked out of the door. "I only make promises to one person and one person alone. Understand ?" "Of course."

On the very first week after Shiori's disappearance from this world, I was left wandering around on my own. From time to time, I would check up on those people from afar. Nothing appeared out of the ordinary, especially since Oka and Ciel were with them. I was glad that they were starting to manage again. The only person I remained cautious about was Shuichi. There was nothing wrong about him, but he was suspicious. I'm sure that he regrets the choice he made that day. He and Shiori are similar to each other in so many ways. If only they had just revealed their feeling to each other. Shiori especially. She knew that she was going to leave him yet...

Although it's none of my concern. Their love is something I shouldn't acknowledge. Then again, what would I know about that thing known as "love" ? I'm not that kind hearted.

It only reminds me of the time when I was still involved with the Council of Makai. Back then the only thing I knew was to kill off those who did not matter. Anything that stood below me were things that I did not care to notice. I wonder why it never really occurred to me that it was all wrong until I met those children. Of course, they're no longer alive but their blood continues to live in this world. It's been a while since I've thought about them. It's been so long. That reminds me. If their child was strong enough to live and have her own family then perhaps..

I smiled at the thought. Perhaps that's why there was...

Someone put their arm around my neck. I didn't bother to move. Instead, I continued to look out into the city without a care in the world. "Can I.. help you ?", I asked after a while. He chuckled into my ear and shifted his weight around to lean on me. I would have elbowed him but I didn't want to take the chance. Apparently it was too soon to relax. I completely forgot about the other things that I had to worry about. I should've known that there were others in Ningenkai. Especially ones that were working for the council. I grimaced at the thought.

"To think that he was being serious", he said with a slight sigh. "Luurè really wasn't kidding when he said that something interesting had come up." "I'm surprised", I mumbled in reply. "Who would have thought that this is where you went after I disappeared from Makai. Tell me, if you're here, then does that also mean that is Ryou here as well ?" From the corner of my eye, I could see him smirk. "Hmm", he mumbled as he looked up at the night sky. "And what good would that do to tell you such things ?" "It's far too early to play games with you", I replied, moving myself away from him so that I could see his face. "Yuuto. You're just as irritating as the last time I saw you." A cheeky grin appeared on his face. "Ehh~", he replied, sounding as if my words hurt him, "How mean~ I thought you'd be excited." I scowled at him. "You're just as irritating as Eion." "But Eion wasn't this welcoming was he ?" I smirked and crossed my arms. "Why would he be ?", I asked. "His hate for me is just as deep as Luurè's." Yuuto shrugged. "I mean after all, he is the left hand", he was nonchalantly saying, "I guess he just couldn't accept the fact that you left before he could beat you. Weren't you both rivals ?" "I don't know."

Yuuto, who was one of the ten members of the council. He left sometime before I disappeared. For what reason, I didn't know. I knew that Luurè had people stationed in the Human World, but I didn't think that he would have had former members. It should've been expected.

"How does it feel to be in a human body miss.. right hand ?", he asked as he began to circle around me. His voice was full of sarcasm and amusement. "Is it any of your concern ?", I asked in return. He chuckled and stopped in front of me. "Still as haughty as ever", he said with a sneer, "Then again, that's why it's so fun to be around you. You don't hold anything back." "Is there something you need from me ?" He and I locked eye contact. "Of course", he replied with a sigh. He pointed towards Shiori's heart. "I want the red stone", he said, his gaze becoming sharp and hostile, "The one that you received in order to maintain the Guardian System." I stared at his hand before breaking out into a laugh. "And what makes you think that I would just hand it over ?" I took a step towards him and smiled. He cautiously watched me as I shrugged. "Besides, it's not as if I know where it is anymore." I slightly smirked.

So that's what their motive is. The stones. They'll aim to remove that system first.

"Will this end up being part two with the council ?" I laughed at the thought of it and turned away from Yuuto. He was probably scowling at me. "Tell Ryou", I said, looking towards the full moon, "Tell him and the others that I will be standing in the way of the council once again." I heard him huff. "Will you be able to manage by then ?", he asked, his voice full of doubt. "Even if you sealed the Old Ruins, it's still not strong enough to keep Sachi from opening it again. And when that happens, will you really be able to go against them ? You're also in a human body." I looked over my shoulder and smirked at Yuuto. "Do you know who I am ?", I asked.

"I am Kana, the former right hand and traitor of Makai. When there's something to be done, I'll make it done. I won't be stopped by something so trivial."
