Chapter 7 - Sorceress

"Open your eyes, Rei," utos ni Sage sa akin at nasa loob na kami ng secret room ni Uncle Syl.

"Anong sinasabi sayo nung sorceress? At bakit siya naging abo?"

"Sabi niya, she's a two millenia old sorceress who is in charge of protecting the red medallion. The place where the medallion is located is twisted by time kaya hindi siya tumatanda. When she felt that someone used the power of the three medallions, she immediately sent this message as a warning. She showed me where to find the red medallion even if it will cost her life," sabi ni Sage sabay lagay ng kamay sa mukha niya na parang napaka laki ng problema niya.

"Sage, sabi ni Quinn, it is much better that the medallions are separated from each other dahil para itong mga susi sa isang kulungan that is meant to be sealed until the end of times. Bakit sinabi niya sayo ang location ng medallion? Sana tinago niya na lang."

"Powerful demons were after her or probably after the red medallion. She felt that sooner or later, her location will be discovered. I think it is the same kind of demon who killed Helda's parents. The same demons who hurt the warrior princess. And the same demons who turned Miraya into something evil. Sabi niya, the red phoenix felt that I can be trusted and I can protect it better."

"Sage tingin ko delikado na magkakasama ang apat na medallions. Di natin alam ang mga super powers nito."

"The Crypto Vault protected these medallions due to the anti-magic capabilities but when you used it during the ritual, these demons somehow felt it. And I think hindi lang ang medallions ang delikado kundi tayo," sabi ni Sage as he hold my hand as if saying na wag ako mag alala.

Sinong hindi mag aalala kung horned demons ang kalaban namin? Hitsura pa lang, scary as fuck na.

"Ang sorceress ba ang dahilan kung bakit ka nakatulog ng matagal after the ritual?" tanong ko nang humiga si Sage sa balikat ko.

"I think so. She showed me a some visions which lasted a few minutes but then I woke up almost a year later."

"Sage, na kay Quinn ang yellow medallion. Nasa atin ang tatlo. These demons will soon be after us."

"Yun ang kinakatakot ko Rei. We do not have any idea what these demons are capable of. Asan nga pala si Silawin?"

"Di ko alam kung nasaan si uncle pero balik hunter na naman siya without his immortality. Nag-aalala nga ako sa kanya, pero you know him, he can take care of himself. Tinawagan niya ko nung isang araw, nasa Austria siya, probably with Lena."

"Iwanan muna natin ang mga medallions dito sa loob ng not so secret room ni Silawin. I believe, similar ang concept nito sa headquarters na may anti-magic warding. These demons will not track it here."

"We are no longer dealing with vampires and warlock, demons naman? Ano naman laban natin sa mga ganun Sage?"

"I will look after you okay? I will take care of you Rei," sabi niya sabay halik sa mga kamay ko.

"Thank you, Sage..."

"No need to thank me. I am sure you will take care of me too, right?"

"Oo naman..." namumula kong sabi.

Though walang maalala na memories si Sage about us, feeling ko we are still bonded together.

"Then, I will stay here in your house moving forward."

"What? Magagalit si Uncle Syl kapag dito ka nagstay. Ano na lang iisipin niya na ginagawa natin sa isang bubong?"

"As if naman matatanggihan ako ni Silawin." natatawa niyang sagot.

"Ok fine, pero dun ka sa guestroom."

"As if naman matatanggihan mo ko kung gustuhin ko na sa kwarto mo matulog."

"Alam ko na, dito ka na lang sa secret room ni Uncle Syl. Bantayan mo yung mga medallions ah? Dyan ka na, ilolock na kita sa loob," sabi ko sabay labas ng secret room ni Uncle Syl. Si Sage naman ay mabilis na nakasunod at sinara ang pinto.

"Six months passed. Did you even miss me?" tanong ni Sage habang nakasunod sa akin.

"I did... not miss you..."

"You are not a very good liar Rei," natatawang sabi ni Sage sabay buhat sa akin but this time, hindi niya ko nilagay sa balikat niya. Buhat niya ko na parang bagong kasal. "Where's your room?"

"Yung nasa dulo... Teka.. Bakit mo ko dadalhin dun?"

"Ano ba ginagawa ng magboyfriend/girlfriend sa loob ng isang kwarto? Nagchichismisan?"

"Hoy mahal na prinsipe, di ba sabi ko wala pa nangyayari sa atin kaya kung ano man na binabalak mo hindi mangyayari yun."

"Eh bakit nga may memory ako na nakahubad ka? Ano yun, trip mo lang?" sabi niya sabay hagis sa akin sa kama.

"Parang ganun na nga, pero walang nangyari sa atin okay?"

"Okay, sabi mo eh. Matulog na tayo. May pasok ka pa bukas di ba?" sabi ni Sage sabay higa sa kama at yakap sa akin. 

Hindi na ko nag-inarte pa dahil gusto ko naman siya katabi matulog. Ang tagal ko din na hindi siya nakasama...
