Chapter 27 - The Mark

Pagpasok namin sa loob ng mansion nila Sage, gising na si Sir Rusty at naghihintay sa amin sa may living room.

"They are after me. Aren't they?" tanong niya sa amin

"Wala na po sila Sir Rusty and we will do our best to protect you."

"They can track me anywhere. They marked me," mahinang sabi ni Sir Rusty at inangat ang damit niya para ipakita ang isang black hoof mark sa dibdib niya, parang paa ng goat or horse.

"Rusty. Why are they after you? Anong nakita mo sa Antarctica? Anong kailangan nila sayo?" tanong ni Sage and inalalayan niya si Sir Rusty na maupo sa sofa.

"I remembered everything now. My team went to Antarctica for an expedition, for pure science and archaeology-related research. No one from my team knew that I was also locating the cave in your vision. I asked the help of the local scientists and they told me that the cave was damaged by an​ avalanche. And that was my mistake."

"Mistake? Bakit ano bang nangyari?"

"The cave in your vision, no one knew its existence as if the demons are protecting its location. Pero nagkamali ako dahil ang mga scientists na pinag tanungan ko are indeed demons. They asked me for more information. They compelled me to tell them kung bakit ko hinahanap ang cave. I remembered na nabanggit ko sa kanila na I need to know kung ang cave at ang medallions ay may connection."

"When they heard about the medallions, they possessed you, tama ba?" tanong ni Sage.

"That's right. The next thing I know, a dark smoke appeared in their mouth and it all went inside me. They are after me because I'm after the cave. They're probably protecting it and they want to know more about the medallions."

"Sage, we felt these demons. We felt their dark power. Phoebe is a demon too. Bakit di natin na feel ang presence niya? Di ko alam pero I can feel Phoebe is now human. Walang traces ng demonic power na sa kanya."

"Hindi ko din alam. Sa ngayon, priority natin si Rusty," sabi ni Sage sabay hawak sa kamay ko. Alam niya duwag ako pagdating sa ghost at demon stuffs.

"Reichel, is it possible for you to remove any traces of demon possessions in me? I am hoping you can remove this mark."

"Sir Rusty, I will try some spell para mawala ang mark sayo pero we need the white medallion. Sabi sa books ni Andreya, the medallion is designed mainly for cleansing and healing."

Sumangayon naman si Sir Rusty at pumunta kami sa bahay namin para mawala ang demon mark. I tried a concealment spell, parang isang reverse locator spell para hindi mahanap si Sir Rusty.

"Rusty, di ba may branch ang university niyo sa Baguio? Magpa transfer ka ng branch at dun ka muna sa safe house mag stay. Hindi natin alam kung narelay ng mga demons ang location​ ng bahay natin sa kasamahan nila."

"That's a good idea. I will leave early in the morning. Reichel, ikaw muna bahala kay Sage. And one more thing, I heard a specific name na sinasabi ng mga demons while they are inside me."

"Anong name?" tanong ni Sage.

"Lilith... "

"Rusty, Lilith is a demon in demon mythology."

"Wait lang po, sino po si Lilith?" naguguluhan kong tanong kay Sir Rusty at kay Sage.

"When I was possessed, these demons are trying to access my memories and in return, I saw glimpses of their past. They are calling Lilith. No, they are worshipping her."

"Rei, Lilith is a demon during biblical times. Some lore said that she's the first wife of Adam. Sabi naman ng iba, siya daw ang snake na nang-akit kay Eve sa garden of Eden. According to demonology, she's the Demon Queen."

"Sage, let us try to absorb some vision kay Sir Rusty. Baka magwork?"

Sage just smiled at me as if natutuwa sa suggestion ko. The three of us hold each other hands. Nakapikit kami sa living room at kulang na lang ang Ouija board, para na kaming nag spirit of the glass.

Sa simula, wala ako makita pero unti unting lumitaw ang magandang mukha ni Rave Clifford. He is wearing a light brown shirt na parang isang makalumang kasuotan. Andoon din si Phoebe in her succubus form pero may tali ang kanyang leeg at kamay. Nakaluhod siya sa tabi ni Rave na parang isang prisoner.

Sa leeg ni Rave nakasabit ang medallion na may whitish rainbow color gem stone sa gitna. It's a different one from what we have. Nasa harapan niya ang isang glasslike coffin na may laman na babae na blonde din ang buhok, parang hawig din ni Phoebe. If I'm not mistaken, they look like sisters. Eto siguro yung nasa drawings sa ancient Aztec temple ruins.

Rave raised his hand habang hawak ang rainbow medallions and in a blink of an eye, biglang lumiwanag at naging apat ito. It was like his medallions are divided into four. It flew on the four corners of the glasslike coffin as if sealing it.

Then, biglang lumitaw ang apat na spirit-like apparition. The Red Phoenix, the White Dragon, the Golden Winged Lion and the Blue Sea Serpent. Binuhat nila ang coffin and pinasok sa loob ng cave. It looks similar to the one in Sage's vision but the mountain ranges are not covered with ice.

"Sage nakita mo ba si Rave? Ang coffin at ang mga guardians ng medallions?"

"Yes, I saw it. Rave is not a demon but he's responsible for trapping the demon in the coffin."

"Kaya pala siya affected ng medallions. He was the original owner. The spirit guardians are probably trying to communicate with him. Sage, I will try to talk to him. Kailangan niya malaman na there are demons after us and after the medallions."

"Yeah, you can do that..."

"Sage? Ok ka lang ba? Bakit parang namumutla ka? Saka pinagpapawisan ka. Masama ba pakiramdam mo?"

"I'm fine. I am just tired," mahinang sagot ni Sage.

Kung di ako nagkakamali, Sage looks afraid. First time ko na makita siya na takot. 

Dahil ba sa demons? Dahil ba kay Rave?
