Chapter 52 - Cairo

Pagdating namin sa Cairo, sinalubong kami ng mga tauhan ni Rave. Meron pala siyang private army, parang group of highly trained mercenaries or assassins.

"Three days ago, three mysterious chambers suddenly opened from the The Three Pyramids of Giza. The local Egyptologist does not even know that these chambers exist. The chambers are empty, but there is sarcophagus inside each of the chambers as if someone was buried there," sabi ng isang tauhan ni Rave during their meeting.

"How many deaths?" seryosong tanong ni Rave sa isang lalaki na mukhang leader ng private army niya.

"For the last twenty four hours after the chambers opened, there are total of twenty five deaths. Same signature cause of death. All bodies were completely drained of blood. All of the victims were unrecognizable as they all look like a mummies."

"Was this taken care of?"

"As you have commanded, Sir. We took care of everything. The public will not have any idea about this."

"Any connections with these twenty five deaths?"

Tumango lang ang tauhan ni Rave at pinakita ang kanyang tablet kung saan parang may isang Google Map image at may red dots. It reminds of the report na binigay sa amin ni Elisha noon.

It seems na lahat ng victims ay may symbol na red dots at nakalagay kung saan ang kanilang last location.

"The first three deaths were located near the Giza pyramid complex. As you can notice, it is like the killers are traveling directly to the city of Cairo to Alexandria. For the last eight hours, we have not received any incident report, no unusual deaths as if the killer finally stopped."

Si Rave ay seryosong nakatingin sa tablet na parang pinag-aaralan ang details ng deaths ng mga victims at ang locations.

"What's in Alexandria? They are clearly on their way there," sabi ni Sage kay Rave nang makaalis ang mga tauhan niya.

"Alexandria is a port city. It is either they are looking for something specifically in this city or they want to get out of Egypt undetected."

"Are you trying to tell me that The Three Pyramids of Egypt were built for the three of them? You're kidding right?" tanong ni Sage.

"Mukhang ganun na nga ang nangyari. They must have compelled the Egyptians to built these astonishing ancient feats of engineering."

"Pero Sage, tatlong pyramids ang sinasabi mo. Apat ang generals ni Lilith. Asan ang isa pa?"

"Abraxas is probably separated from the three of them. He is the most powerful among the four."

"Rave, put yourself in their shoes. Pagkagising mo after a thousands of years, what would you do? They were former guardians just like you."

"I am going to find my Angelus."

"Angelus?" 

It is my turn para magtanong dahil mukhang seryoso ang mukha ni Sage at Rave sa kanilang discussions.

"Reichel, naaalala mo pa ba yung sword hilt na binigay ko sa inyo ni Sage? The other two is now with Quinn and Silawin. Those swords are called Angelus. All of the high ranking guardians have an Angelus and this is where most of our powers came from. The four Angelus that I gave you are from the other guardians who lost their lives during the rebellion battle. Sigurado ako na hinahanap na nila ang Angelus nila. Iyan ay kung wala pa sa kanya ito."

"What if nasa kanya na yun?" tanong ko ulit kay Rave.

"Then they can start commanding legions of demons to spread the seven deadly sins. Sigurado ko na uunahin niya ang mga power hungry politicians and businessmen. We will be leaving shortly papuntang Alexandria. Silawin and Quinn are on their way here," sabi ni Rave at iniwan kami ni Sage sa loob ng isang office malapit sa private plane hangar.

The four generals of Lilith are now alive. Aside from Raviael and Lilith, they are the next in the hierarchy when it comes to power. Isipin ko pa lang na buhay na sila, kinikilabutan na ako sa takot.

"Rei, alam ko na ang unang mong reaction is to protect me, but please I want you to focus on yourself first. If you are going to make an attack, make sure that your defense is also... "

Di na natapos ni Sage ang sasabihin dahil hinawakan niya bigla ang ulo niya as if may matinding migraine. Bigla siyang sumigaw na parang nabibiyak ang ulo niya sa sakit.

"Sage, anong nangyayari? Talk to me."

Biglang naging itim ang mata ni Sage na parang isang demon at marahas niyang nilagay ang kamay niya sa leeg ko para sakalin ako. In a split second, ibang Sage na ang kaharap ko.

"Sage... Stop... Nasasaktan ako..." sabi ko sa kanya habang nakatingin sa mata niya.

Kulang na lang maiyak ako sa sakit ng leeg ko. Pero after only a few seconds, biglang nagbalik sa normal si Sage at binitawan ang leeg ko. Di ko mapigilan ang umubo dahil sa pagkakasakal niya sa akin.

Hindi ko lang masabi kay Sage na takot na takot ako nang maging black ang mga mata niya. It is as if isa siyang demon. Alam ko naman na hindi ako sasaktan ni Sage kahit anong mangyari kaya nagtitiwala ako sa kanya, pero ngayon, nagdadalawang isip na ko.
