Chapter 40 - Raviael

Rave Clifford is currently staying in an expensive suite sa isa sa pinaka luxurious hotel sa bansa. After our work, dumerecho kami ni Sage sa suite kung saan siya nakatira.

"Alam mo ba kung magkano per night dito sa suite ni Rave?" tanong ko kay Sage habang nasa elevator kami.

"Roughly 130K per night. Barya lang yun kay Rave."

"Maraming Jollibee na yung 130K ah? Madami na makakakain ng Jollibee sa ganung halaga."

"Sa birthday mo, magpa Jollibee tayo sa mga street children at sa home for the aged. Di ba gusto mo yun?"

"Sige sige! Saka Sage, bili mo nga ko ng malawak na lupa dyan sa Rizal or sa Laguna. Mayaman ka naman di ba?"

"Bakit? Ano gagawin mo sa lupa? Magtatanim ka? Para kang nagpapabili ng candy sa tindahan ah?"

"Gagawa ako ng dog shelter para sa mga homeless dogs. Aampunin ko silang lahat. Pag may gusto mag adopt, bibigay ko basta dapat responsible owner."

"Consider it done. Andito na tayo. Let me handle the conversation."

"Yes, boss."

Pagpasok namin sa suite ni Rave, wala dun si Phoebe pero kulang na lang lumuwa ang mata ko sa loob ng suite niya. Kaya naman pala mahal ang bayad, masyado luxurious ang room parang designed sa isang royalty. Highly polished marble-floored ang suite with sleek wood panelling. Classic ang design, may deep-pile carpets at elegant ang mga furnitures.

Pinatuloy kami ni Rave sa dining room kung saan may iba't ibang selections ng food.

Ang daming pagkain. Alam kaya ni Rave na matakaw ako?

Nagdinner kaming tatlo at nag-uusap si Rave at si Sage about sa business.

Hello, may mas urgent tayo na dapat pag-usapan. Ano ba to, business dinner?

"As I have mentioned earlier, it would be better if I will show everything to both of you," sabi ni Rave at niyaya niya kami sa grand living room after our dinner.

"Ano ka ba talaga Sir Rave? Immortal ka ba?"

"Something like that, but I am slowly becoming human. Dadating ang time at magiging tao na ako."

"Ilan taon ka na po?"

"Isa na akong ancient being and I lost track of my age," sabi ni Rave sabay hawak sa glass table sa gitna ng living room. Without warning, ang solid transparent glass ay naging blurry at gumalaw na parang isang liquid.

"Magic ba yan?" tanong ko kay Rave.

Inirapan lang ako ni Sage dahil siguro sa dami ng tanong ko. Nginitian ko lang siya as if saying - Sorry Na Po.

"Parang ganun na nga. My name Raviael and I was a guardian tasked to protect the earth together with Lilith, my sort of partner," sabi ni Rave at biglang lumitaw ang figure ng dalawang creature na may golden wings sa table. Para kaming nanunuod ni Sage ng 3D hologram video.

The first one is a guy with golden hair na kamukha ni Rave while the second one is a woman with long golden hair na kamukha ni Lilith and they both have golden wings.

"We roamed the earth, checking every corner for its imperfection. Para kaming quality control team duo ni Lilith, but earth is indeed perfectly created by the Creator. Lilith became so fond, so obsessed with the earth to the point that she want to rule it. She rebelled against the Creator and she was outcasted here on earth," pagpapatuloy ni Rave.

"Lilith drastically transformed into a creature completely opposite of her initial state. She spread pride, gluttony, envy, lust, greed, sloth and wrath to humans. And she is more than satisfied to what the earth has become."

Pinakita sa amin ni Rave kung paano naging masama ang tao noong panahon na yun. The seven deadly sins are literally overflowing during that time. Ang magandang anyo ni Lilith ay unti unting nagbago. Her golden wings became pure black. She developed a horn and a tail, but she is still stunningly beautiful.

"Since Lilith is like the other half of me, it was my duty to stop her abomination. I used most of my powers to create a prison for her, but she is cunning. She created a loophole, a powerful spell wherein her power will vanish, but will surge again after thousands of years."

Katulad ng vision ni Sage at Quinn, nakita namin kung paano natrap si Lilith sa loob ng prison, pero bago mangyari yun, nakita namin ang kanilang battle and Rave defeated Lilith.

"And when that day comes, we no longer need the medallions. Lilith will be free..." pagtatapos na Rave.

"But Sir Rave, you are powerful too. You can defeat Lilith once she wakes up. You can imprison her again."

"Reichel, when I created a prison for Lilith, it consumed most of my power to contained her. Little did I know, she deliberately diminished her power and reserve it until she is powerful enough to break from her prison."

"Para siyang nag pretend na mahirap, inipon ang lahat ng pera sa bangko parang time deposit, tumubo ng interest at nagwithdraw ng isang bonggang bongga after thousands of years?" tanong ko sa kanya.

"Your analogy is interesting. And now, hindi ko na mapipigilan si Lilith kung makakalaya man siya sa kanyang prison chamber."

"Si Phoebe, kapatid po ba siya ni Lilith? Medyo hawig silang dalawa."

"Reichel, she's the one responsible for capturing Lilith. Without her help, I will not even succeed. Phoebe joined the rebellion and betrayed her sister for me to defeat her. In return, I used my power to remove her demonic heart."

"To chose you over her sister, she must have love you Sir Rave..."

A bitter smile just appeared on his face. It seems that Phoebe loves him, but this ancient creature does not feel the same or his heart belongs to someone else.
