Chapter 20 - Entrapment

Salamat na lang at isang normal na lunch lang ang nangyari sa amin ni Sir Rave. Hindi napunta sa supernatural na bagay ang usapan namin.

"How's your lunch with the CEO?" tanong ni Sage sa akin habang nasa kotse kami.

"Ok naman, wala naman out of the ordinary. Parang casual lunch lang. He said that he is randomly inviting employees for lunch to know them better, pero tingin ko, he just likes me."

"Wow, ang bilis mo mag conclude. Hindi ba pwedeng nafefeel niya lang na may surge of power sayo? I told you, dark creatures are always attracted sa power ng mga Alagad ni Bathala."

"Eh bakit di siya attracted sayo? Mas powerful ka kaysa sa akin."

"I don't know. There's something really fishy about him."

"Sabi niya, he is planning to take me out for lunch daw pag may free time siya. Feeling ko talaga type ako ni Mr. CEO. Ang haba ng hair ko!"

"Ano ba yung pinagsasabi mo? Malay mo type ka niya gawing living sacrifice para mabuksan yung secret prison na sinasabi sa legend."

"Tsk! KJ ka noh? Minsan na nga lang ako magiging feelingera na may magkakagusto sa akin, kontra bulate ka pa."

"Gusto naman kita ah?"

"Gusto siguro, pero hindi ko alam kung mahal mo ko..." mahina kong sabi sa kanya.

Siguro nga, boyfriend ko si Sage and we are doing things na ginagawa lang ng magjowa pero never niya sinabi sa akin formally na mahal niya ko. At minsan, nangangarap ako na gawin niya yun.

Noon nga na may alaala siya sa akin, di niya sinasabi na mahal niya ako, ngayon pa kaya?

"Maiba ko, Quinn called me and he wants to thank you dahil natigil ang dreams niya about kay Rave. He wants to do a little experiment, but only if you will agree," sabi ni Sage after ng long silence.

"Anong experiment yan?"

"He wants to test if Rave Clifford will react with the medallions. Parang entrapment operation."

"When? Where and how?"

"Just inform us kung kailan ang next lunch date niyo ni Rave and we will do the rest. Let's hope na may vision ka makita kay Rave."

Hindi ko inaasahan na iinvite uli ako ni Sir Rave for another lunch the next day. Kung ano man pinaplano ni Quinn and Sage, wala ako alam. They just want me to act naturally.

As usual, hindi namin kasama si Phoebe. Kumain kami sa isang malapit na Japanese restaurant. Puro business related ang discussion namin ni Sir Rave and he is asking for my opinion from time to time.

"So, Reichel. Have you been to Antarctica?"

"South Pole Antarctica?"

"Yeah. I was there a few months ago and the sight of the endless ice is really comforting. If you want to join me in my expedition, I would be very much delighted."

"Sir Rave, malamig dun. Di ako sanay sa lamig baka manigas agad ako."

"Think about it Reichel. I want to visit Antarctica with you..." sabi ni Sir Rave na nakatitig sa mata ko, pero bigla siyang naging uneasy and I know why.

Dumating si Quinn at umupo sa katabi namin na table. I am sure he is wearing one of the medallions, I bet it is the white one na hiniram ni Sage sa akin kagabi. Sage on the other, positioned himself sa bakanteng table sa likuran ni Sir Rave. Kitang kita ko na naging uncomfortable bigla si Rave.

"Sir Rave, ok ka lang po ba?" nag-aalala kong tanong sa kanya. 

He looks confuse as if nararamdaman niya ang dalawang medallions but he just can't pin point where.

"I am... I am okay..."

"Sir Rave, sure ka ba?" mahinang sabi ko sabay hawak sa kamay niya

"I am okay. Just a slight headache..." sagot ni Sir Rave and within seconds, umikot ang paningin ko.

Finally, another vision.

Pero hindi si Sir Rave ang nasa vision ko kundi si Phoebe. She is almost naked and only her long blonde hair is covering her breast. She looks very fierce parang isang wild animal. She has long black nails and she has fangs na parang vampire. May dugo pa sa labi niya as if she just recently feed on fresh blood. What made her look stunningly evil is a pair of glossy black bat wings.

Wait, is she a demon?

"I am okay. Just a slight headache..."

"Gusto mo umuwi na tayo? Magpahinga ka na muna. Workaholic ka kasi Sir Rave," sabi ko nang marealize ko na tapos na ang visions. Quinn quickly left the restaurant at mabilis naman na sumunod si Sage.

I don't know what I saw pero one thing is for sure, Phoebe is a demon.
