Hindi ko alam kung susunod ang demon na inutusan ko, but this is the only way I can reach Sage. Iniisip ko pa lang kung anong mga posibleng mangyari if I am unable to lure Sage, pero biglang bumukas ang pintuan habang ako ay nakaupo sa living room. Kahit hindi ako lumingon, alam ko na si Sage yun.

"What took you so long? I thought you would be here an hour ago. Hindi mo ba ko mahanap? Is your low ranking demon having a hard time relaying my message to you?" tanong ko kay Sage sabay inom ng lemon juice as if wala akong pakialam kung nasa loob ng bahay ang demon king.

"How dare you to threaten me?" galit na sabi ni Sage.

I can see from my peripheral visions na may black orb with flashes of lightning na nasa kamay niya. He was about to hurl it to me, pero mabilis din itong nag disperse.

"Alam mo Sage, kilala kita bilang smart and cunning, pero nung naging demon ka ata, bumaba ang IQ mo. That black ball thingy will not work here."

"Bakit ka nandito sa mansion ni Matthias sa Baguio City? What do you want from me?" inis niyang tanong nang marealize niya na he is powerless inside this house.

"This place is where the Curse of Darkness started. Ample amount of dark power is freely roaming in this place. I need this dark power to conceal the demon trap spells that I have created."

"What do you mean trap?"

"Sit, mahaba haba ang usapan natin, unless you want to stand there for the rest of the your demonic existence."

"And you think these amateurish spells can confine me?" seryosong tanong ni Sage sabay upo sa living room sofa sa tapat ko.

"For your information, my dear husband, these are not elementary spells. These are intricate spells and I used Raviael's guardian power to establish these. In other words, this place is impregnable. No one gets in, no one gets out, except me of course."

Kahit alam ni Sage na tama ako, with his lightning speed, mabilis niya akong sinakal. He squeezed my neck and shove me to the wall. Kung wala ang healing powers ng white medallion, sigurado may fracture na ako sa lakas ng tama ng ulo ko sa wall.

"Yes, I can, Sage! Kung pwede lang na ikulong kita dito for eternity, gagawin ko!"

"Tsk!" inirapan niya lang ako at pinahid ang dugo sa labi niya.

I want to run towards him and I want to kiss those broken lips, but then hindi na si Sage ang kaharap ko, he is the demon king.
