Hoseok held his little sister close, one hand on the back of her head and the other around her back. He stayed quiet as you cried, letting you empty out your feelings with no judging. He cared and wanted to see you smile once again.
"It'll be okay, dongsaeng. It'll be okay," he soothed, rubbing his hand up and down your spine.
You sniffled. Your arms tightened around your brother and you continued to sob on his t-shirt.
"He's okay, don't worry, sweet pea."
"But he's going to be gone for a long time," you whined, finally looking at Hoseok.
Your brother smiled. "But he's going to call us every day."
"But he won't be here," you countered.
Hoseok wiped your tears away and brushed your hair back. "You have me. And the others. Jin will only be gone for a week."
You nodded and looked at Hobi. "Can I call him, too? On your phone?"
Hobi grinned. "Any time you miss him. Just ask, okay?"
You returned his smile. "Okay. Thank you, oppa."
"Any time, dongsaeng."
