What the fuck?
I stepped back, absorbing the blow. I had heard my nose crack, and a sharp pain cut through me. My head was spinning. I couldn't hear anything clearly, but I did hear yelling. I felt Baseball catch me from almost falling, and he grabbed a few napkins from the table near us. He had me hold them up to my nose and he walked out of the cafeteria holding me under the arms. The initial effects had worn off, the clouded thinking and hearing.
"B-Baseball I could've dealt with it on my own, l-let me go!"
"No, Nickel. You're just going to go back in. We're going to the office."
"Oh, but I'm fine." I say as my nose is bleeding out.
"...whatever. We should still stop the bleeding, though."
"I can do that myself. It's not like this is my first bloody nose."
Baseball blinked, "It looks a little more like a broken nose, dude."
"It doesn't matter, I said let me go!" I break free from his grasp somehow.
"Why are you like this?!"
"Like what?" I chuckle a bit, but Baseball glares at me.
"Ever since she showed up, you haven't been yourself! What is going on?" I flinch at his serious tone.
"I..." why am I doing this? It's been almost 10 years since that happened. It's in the past now, but I can't let go. Baseball sighs.
"Come on, let's go." I stand there for a second, before hesitantly following him.
I deserved that, didn't I?
