Joes POV

I woke up with a banging headache. I looked to my left to see a glass and some pills. I sat up, groaning a little but took the medication, seeing the note Dianne left and smiled. School would be hell today, but the boys would be in the same boat as me anyway so it wouldnt be too bad. I dragged myself out of bed and grabbed my uniform, walking to the bathroom and showering.

Once i was ready i trudged downstairs and into the kitchen. My mother smiled and handed me a bowl of cereal. I sat down, slowly eating.
"Someones hungover." She laughed and sat opposite me.
"That i am." I sighed and looked up.
"You inviting Dianne over this weekend?" She asked and i smiled, thinking of my red headed girlfriend.
"Yeah, definitely inviting her round. If she can come."
"Thats good. She seems like a good girl. Shes made you a better man." She smiled before taking my now empty bowl. "Now off to school, go get educated." My mother kissed my forehead before giving me my bag. I smiled, saying goodbye before leaving and starting the boring journey to school.

Once i got there, i saw my friends standing with Dianne. I snuck up on her and picked her up, spinning her round before putting her down.
"Thanks for the water and pills." I said softly, hugging her tightly.
"No problem." She giggled, smiling brightly.
We all talked before the bell went.
"See you in science gorgeous." I smiled and messed up her hair before watching her walk off.
"Joe youre crazy in love with her." Caspar laughed, putting an arm round my shoulders.
"Caspar find yourself someone like her. Youll understand then." I smirked, sitting down in tutor. We all kept talking, but my mind kept wandering back to Dianne. We all soon got signed in, and the bell went for first period. We all dragged outself to science and sat down. Dianne, oli, mikey and conor walked in, dianne and oli sitting in front of us. I smiled, not focusing on the lesson. Dianne glaced behind her and blushed, having noticed I had been looking at her. I went bright red, smiling as i began to finally work, gluing in loose sheets.

The lesson continued on, and i just focused on dianne. Focused on the small details. The bell soon went and we packed up, getting ready to go to next period. Luckily second period rolled by quickly, and we got to break quickly.
"Guys, wheres dianne?" I asked.

Diannes POV

"Come on. One date." One of the boys asked.
"No! Im not doing that!" I said, walking into the canteen. I smiled, walking over to our table before the new bou turned me round and attempted to kiss me. I turned my head away, but soon enough joe had be in his arms, seconds away from starting a fight with this kid. The boy backed down practically straight away, since some more of the boys came over. I smiled a little, leaning against Joe.
"Stay away from her." Joe snapped, the whole canteen going silent. The new boy nodded and ran off, all of us sitting back at the table. I smiled, holding Joes hand, resting my head on his shoulder. We laughed all through break, joe soon lightening up again, however kept ahold of my hand, squeezing it every so often. I smiled and stole one of his grapes, throwing it up and catching it in my mouth, putting my arms up in achievement, causing them all to laugh, caspar leaning over the table and high fiving me. I smiled, joining the conversarion.
"Hey guys, my parents are out of town this weekend. You know what that means." Josh said. I looked at them confused.
"Im sorry but i have no idea what that means." I blushed. Joe smiled and kissed my cheek.
"When Josh's parents are out of town he throws massive parties. We all stay round since hes got a lot of guest rooms." He explained. I nodded.
"So am i invited?"
"Course you are." Josh smiled. "First time for everything." He laughed and i nodded, however the bell interupted the rest of the conversation. I grabbed my bags and smiled.
"To dance!" I smiled, kissing joe goodbye since he was heading to art. I walked to the gym and smiled, in a much happier mood.

Joes POV

I sat down in art, getting my art book and smiled. We just had to continue with out projects. I opened my book on the page of my drawing. It was a bear with a white dove perched on a branch slightly above it. I smiled, beginning to draw. As usual, my mind drifted off to dianne. However this time i was worried. Joshs parties included drinking, games and a lot of flirting. I didnt want anyone trying anything with my girl. I knew id have to stay decently sober for her. I smiled, hoping shed enjoy it like the rest of us did, and josh would give us a room to sleep in for the night. See my friends can be useful i promise. My teacher looked over my shoulder at my work.
"Amazing job. What do the animals represent?" She asked. I shrugged, but i did indeed know. The bear represented me. Can be calm but can also fight and hurt if provoked. Dianne represented the dove. Doves represent love and peace, and thats exactly what she brought to our group. I smiled softly. What was this girl doing to you sugg.
