"Violet, look what I found!" Clementine's voice traveled through the house from their room. Violet walked in with curious intentions and joined Clementine on the bed. She noticed that she had little disc's in her hand with a lovely smile planted on her face.

"What is that?" Violet raised an eyebrow, very oblivious as to what it was. "Remember when we were little and Lee would record us? These are some of the videos." She broke into a fit of small giggles, excited to see what was on the Discs.

"Which one first?" Clem looked through the discs with the dates written on them. "May 21, 1998." Violet nodded her head with the memory of that day stamped in her head.

That was the first day her and Clem had become best friends.

After setting up everything, Clementine pushed play on the DVD player and laid out on the bed, watching the video start.

"You like it?" Lee's voice seemed confident as he wiped his hands on his pants, looking up at the job he'd just finished. "It's amazing!" Clementine jumped up and down with excitement. "It's done?" Violet came running out of the screen door that led to the backyard. "It's all done." Lee chuckled, looking up at the treehouse.

It had only taken him about half of a month. Lee had some help. Kenny lived right down the street. Him, His son, and his Wife. Violet's dad lived right next door too, and he's a construction worker. What're the odds of that?

The girls hugged Lee which was an enthusiastic eight-year-olds way of saying thanks.

Clementine as the first up the wooden ladder, checking to make sure it was sturdy, but also making sure there were no raccoons up there. About that, long story short, there was a baby raccoon in the unfinished product. Clementine was intrigued but was told not to go near it, so she felt the need to double check with Violet close behind just in case.

She pushed the flap upward and walked through, revealing the inside of the treehouse to herself and Violet. The way they smiled and ran inside filled Lee's heart, just knowing that anything can make them happy.

The smell of freshly cut wood filled the air, as well as their laughter. They couldn't think of anything that could make them happier than their luxury treehouse. Everything felt so peaceful.

"Lee, can we get the camera? I wanna show them my tree house!" Clementine waved down to the older man. Without hesitation, Lee headed halfway up the ladder and placed the camera on the platform, in her reach.

She picked the husky piece of material and faced it toward herself, pretty much like a vlog. "Look, this is my treehouse!" She turned to Violet, catching the girl staring and smiled. "This is our treehouse."

"And this is my best friend. Her name Is Violet and we met in kindergarten... We've been friends for three years! Say hi."

Violet gave a sheepish smile and a nervous wave.

"That's good enough for me. But look at our treehouse!" She turned the camera and showed the wooden interior with the furniture and a small window for them to examine the surrounding forest. "Clem, look." Violet ran to the window and looked out into the trees. She always loved nature and she was never afraid to show it, especially around her best friend.

"Woah!" Clementine exclaimed, showing the camera the canvas in front of them. "Your dad is so cool!" Violet had a smile on her face that wouldn't be replaced with anything any time soon and ran back out to the platform and yelled to Lee, "Thanks for making the treehouse!" and ran back in.
