Unexpected Arrival

No one's pov

Everyone except Loki were outside the house as Klaus, Elijah, Hayley, Hope, Rebekah and Freya were leaving and heading back to New Orleans. "Have a safe journey back" Davina said as she hugged Hayley and Rebekah before shaking Freya's hand. Kol was holding Gideon as they said their goodbyes "don't do anything stupid now Nik" Kol said to Klaus "I won't do anything stupid" Klaus replied "oh of course you will. You always do something stupid especially when you're bored and wanting to get revenge on an enemy" Rebekah remarked Klaus didn't say anything and just rolled his eyes before thunder suddenly boomed in the sky grabbing their attention. More thunder boomed with a cracking sound until a bright rainbow light shot down from the sky to the ground. It was the bifrost and someone was paying a visit.

Thor emerged as the bifrost disappeared and he started walking towards Davina and the Mikaelson's. "Uncle Thor, what an unexpected surprise. What are you doing here?" Davina asked "sorry about the unexpected visit but I come here by order of Odin" Thor responded as he came to stand in front of them, sending Rebekah a quick glance before looking back at his niece. "What does grandfather want?" Davina asks "he requests your immediate return to Asgard as soon as possible" Thor replied making Davina's eyes widen in surprise along with Hayley and the Mikaelson's. "Why?" Davina asked "he says you've been gone too long and it's time you came back for a little while. He also thinks it's time for the people of Asgard to meet the new Prince" Thor explained gesturing to an oblivious Gideon who was drooling a little bit on to his father's shirt. "Gideon's still a little too young to travel through the bifrost. He's only seven weeks old uncle" Davina responded "I understand, that's why Odin has given you up until next week to return by then Gideon will be two months old and it will be safe for him to travel through the bifrost" Thor replied "you really think she's going to take Gideon away just like that from his father and his family?" Klaus questioned "okay first of all jackass" Thor started pointing Mojinor at him making Rebekah and Kol snicker "she won't be taking Gideon away from anyone let alone the child's father. Kol has instant permission to come to Asgard because he is Gideon's father and Davina's soul mate but Odin has given you lot permission to come to Asgard so you can witness Gideon be christened in front of all of Asgard" Thor explained "also you're not the only family Gideon has? He has Loki, me, his great-grandparents and of course his godparents" Thor added "why is Gideon being christened? Shouldn't that decision be up to Kol and Davina?" Freya questioned "it's an Asgardian tradition. All Asgardian royalty get christened when they're an infant and it's at the christening they are announced and crowned Prince or Princess. It's part of Asgardian heritage and it's a right of passage plus it's not everyday a very special baby is born" Thor explained making Hayley cough "my daughter's a special baby" she said "of course, I'm aware. My apologies I meant no disrespect to you or your daughter mam. Gideon is a very special baby to all of Asgard and he is technically fourth in line for the Asgardian throne" Thor replied  "I know, I was just pulling your leg" Hayley replied making Thor look confused "what does that mean?" he asked glancing at Davina "it's an Midgard thing uncle. It's another term for a joke" Davina explained "ah I see" Thor replied nodding his head just as Loki walked out wondering why everyone was crowded outside. Loki cursed as he saw his brother on the lawn "brother what are you doing here? Come to check in on me?" he asked "actually no. I just came to give Davina a notice from father" Thor explained "oh, what does that old sod want?" Loki asked Thor scowled at the little insult directed at their father but chose not to argue over it. "He wishes for Davina and Gideon to come to Asgard. He says Davina has been gone too long and it's time for Gideon to be introduced to the people of Asgard and be christened" Thor explained "Gideon's a little too young to travel to the bifrost don't you think?" Loki asked "Odin has given Davina a week before she has to come back to Asgard. By then Gideon will be eight weeks old and just about old enough to travel through the bifrost" Thor explained "yeah but still he's a little bit too young. Davina didn't travel through the bifrost until she was at least three months old. The speed and motion of the bifrost is too much for an eight week old baby" Loki replied but Thor waved him off "ah he'll be fine. He's strong like his mother" he remarked "father's right uncle. Maybe we should wait until Gideon's a bit older" Davina replied "I agree with you but it's Odin order and you can't argue with him" Thor replied "oh I think I bloody well can. He can't be ordering me around when it comes to my baby" Davina responded "sweetheart I know the feeling of being annoyed at Odin but he's not worth getting worked up over. Odin is as stubborn as a bloody toad. There's no reasoning with him, nobody can change his mind" Loki spoke up "except Frigga. She's always able to reason with him" Davina replied "Frigga already tried but she nowhere. Odin's already sent word out to everyone that you'll be returning sometime next week with your son and he's planning his christened as we speak" Thor explained "oh like hell he is. If my son's having a christening, I'm the one who's going to organise it. So you go back to Asgard and tell dear old grandfather that I shall have the say in all things to do with Gideon's christening and if he has a problem with that then he can come here himself and talk to me about it. I have no problem in telling him what I think and what I want" Davina responded making Loki grin "that's my daughter" he said "what are your demands for the christening?" Thor asked "I already have a list prepared in guess this came up" Davina replied raising her hand and clicking her fingers making a scroll appear in her hand and she let it unravel "here's my demands for my precious little boy's christening" she said flashing her uncle a sweet innocent smile as she handed the scroll to him "I hope grandfather doesn't have too much trouble reading my demands with that one eye of his" she added making her father snicker "I'll pass it on to him. I'll be back next week to collect you all that's if Kol's family will accompany you" Thor replied "as if I'd pass up the opportunity to go to Asgard and to see my only nephew get christened of course" Rebekah replied "what if I have another child and it turns out to be a boy?" Klaus questioned "that's if you meet a woman who's stupid enough to let you knock her up" Kol remarked making Loki snicker quietly "is that suppose to be an insult directed at me?" Hayley asked raising her eyebrow at him "why of course not" Kol replied "Nik if you have another child. I'd be shocked but not surprised either. I mean what are the chances of you knocking up more than one woman? That sort of thing would happen to you" Rebekah said "better check in with Cami and see if she's up the duff or not" Kol said cheekily as Klaus scowled "you might want to check with Genevieve too. I know she's long gone from our lives and doesn't remember us thanks to Davina but you never know if you accidently put a bun in her oven" Rebekah added "alright, alright that's enough" Klaus responded going bright red from embarrassment making Kol and Rebekah laugh. "What about Caroline? If I recall you hooked up with her at least once" Elijah spoek up making Klaus groan "oh, not you too Elijah" he complained "what? It's true, you did sleep with her. Maybe she got pregnant after your little encounter" Elijah remarked "Caroline's a vampire. She can't have children" Klaus reminded "ah but nature always has a loophole" Elijah replied "it's not really nature that causes the loophole. Loopholes happen because of the universe" Loki spoke up "I don't think the universe would want too many Klaus's running around" Hayley replied "you're telling me. I'd go mad if there were more Nik's around no offense to Hope. She's a little delight and I hope she stays that way" Kol replies "I could say the same about you. I'd lose the plot if there were too many of you around" Klaus shot back "you wanna go there brother?" Kol asked feeling angry by his comment but before he could say anything Davina stood between them. "Not in my house and not in front of my son or Hope. Back it in the both of you" she said glaring at both of them "he started it" Klaus replied "I don't give a damn who started it. I'm finishing it" Davina retorted gently taking Gideon from Kol. "You do realise that comment you made to your brother was also directed at my daughter because if he does have more children. They will be with my daughter so you're insulting my future grandchildren" Loki spoke up "father not now" Davina replied "relax, I'm not trying to cause a fight. I'm simply pointing out a fact" Loki replied shrugging his shoulders. Thor coughed, clearing his throat "right, well I'll be off. I have demands to deliver to Odin and what not. See you next week" Thor said rolling up the scroll Davina gave him "and with that, I'm heading back inside" Loki replied "you'll be coming back too" Thor replied "do I have too?" Loki asked "what? You don't want to go to your grandson's christening?" Thor retorted "of course I do, I wouldn't miss that for anything. I'm only going for him and my daughter" Loki replied before heading into the house. "See goodbye to you too brother" Thor said sarcastically "have a safe journey back uncle" Davina replied "I'll be sure too" he replied before taking a few steps back. "Heimdall!" he shouted up at the sky, a few seconds later the bifrost shot down and basically sucked Thor up within a blink of an eye. "Well guys better prepare yourselves. We're going to Asgard and everything is a lot different there compared to here on Earth" Davina said before heading inside while Hayley and the Mikaelson's simply looked at each other "this should be fun" Kol said trying to seem calm but he was feeling very nervous about going to Asgard especially going with his siblings, he didn't want them to screw up and mess things up for him.
