"Jay look at your phone again and imma take it," Clarence sighed from across the table.
"I can't help it," I said nervously, "don't you think it's a bit much to leave Javier alone at home. I mean to be fair, we literally just adopted him and we've already left him in the house alone."
"Baby he's okay—lil niggas 16, you act like your parents ain't leave you in the house at that age." He chuckled.
"Well they didn't, my sister and I had a nanny." I revealed, completely embarrassed.
"A nanny....at 16." He spoke in disbelief.
"Yeah I know...I told you my parents were over protective. Sure when it came to materialistic things we couldn't complain. But privacy and our mental health was nothing to them." I explained.
"Damn," he shook his head.
"I'll stop, I don't mean to ruin this date, you said you wanted to do something special tonight and I'm being annoying." I ranted.
He chuckled and shook his head, "look I get it, checking up on him once or twice is good, but every five minutes is a lot."
"Enough about that tho, just enjoy yourself—lemme spoil you.." he began a familiar smirk covering his lips
"okay," I spoke, exhaling a relaxing breath
"Okay?" He questioned with a humored tone.
"okay," I repeated with a chuckle, watching as he leaned to place a kiss on my lips.
I met him half way as we connected, his mouth forming into a smile.
"pac' get down," I sighed
He did as I said and began waltzing around elsewhere.
I shook my head with a chuckle as I continued to play the game.
